John Larkin was the real deal. His jazz was the 'glass of scotch and an ashtray on the piano' type.

back in 2009 I learned about scatman john and it was an impression to hear eurobeat with jazz elements now, in late 2020, I learned about his very first album and I understand why

Larkin always was a phenomenal musician, and he had such an interesting career and path for his life. Such an inspiration, and glad he wrote all the types of music he did.
