My best friend when I was in my early 20s was an excellent bowler, one of the best in two leagues. I tried it, not my game. But I enjoyed watching him. I like to do everything one can do in a bowling alley Except bowl: pinball; video games; beer of course. But most of all, watching people put themselves into situations, then seeing how well they deal with them (presuming of course that a strike was not thrown). Leaving a single pin? Good chance of success. But This situation? LOVED watching that! BRAVO!!! Thank you for posting this. Cheers!

Umpire needs to bloody concentrate. Rafa marked the ball pointed at it and looked at the umpire. What's he supposed to do? put his hand up and ask teacher?
@xyriumelementКүн бұрын
Rafa was supposed to call for a challenge. It's as simple as that. Fergus Murphy is a very experienced umpire and he knows what he's talking about.
@rbarreira2Күн бұрын
By the time he marked the ball and looked at the umpire, the ball had already gone to his opponent and came back. That's way too late for a challenge.
@nastastic20 сағат бұрын
@@rbarreira2 Look at rafa stopping mid point not deciding to hit the ball, Marking the line pointing at it and looking at the umpire, What if rafa was def and couldn't say challenge? Fergus wasn't reading the game and is a bit of an asshole anyway.

Nadal is right, it was out. But in terms of process, he's grown up playing on clay, he's played professionally on clay for many years, and the process is usually to circle the mark and allow the umpire to check it. But nowadays, the rules are a bit halfway. They need to be automatically called out electronically, none of this challenging nonsense.
@noeldacosta7621Күн бұрын
@@SnookerIsRonnie Yeah I'm confused. What exactly is the process?
@Peripatetic5Күн бұрын
@@noeldacosta7621 You stop, which Nadal did. You highlight the mark by circling it or underlining it, which Nadal did. You step away and allow the umpire to confirm the call, for which they would normally come down and check. In other words, Nadal did everything that is normally expected on a clay court to say, "That looked out. Please check the mark and make your decision." The umpire should then have called for a challenge, or at least checked that Nadal was asking for a challenge and THEN called it.
@pauljohnson601923 сағат бұрын
@@SnookerIsRonnie Nadal is just a massive baby, when it comes to clay, he wants everything to go his way, a bit like Djokovic on hard court, they always expect the umpire to rule in their favor, if this was hard court, Nadal wouldn't have had this baby tantrum.

Why are they umpiring the match like it's 1990. We've got the technology. The tech says it's out, so it's out. It doesn't matter what Nadal says or umpire thinks. Another ridiculous and embarrassing chapter in tennis umpiring.

But the players have a limited amount of challenges, right? The umpire can't automatically review every close shot, it would keep stopping the game. If the player gets it get it wrong, the've lost a possible challenge later, so complaining about a call like that DOESN'T automatically mean he wants to officially challenge it. He literally turned his back on the chair and walked away, as if he would continue. Got to be clearer!

Been the same story for the past couple years yes we have had wins in big games but even then it's 1 out rugby we always attack shite against the better teams but, when we play average teams we pass it about and blow them away. We was better second half but still not good enough. We've never had a good all round performance in abig game under peet, just look at the challenge cup final 2022 last year's grand final worst game all season, world club challenge couldn't get out of our own 40.our defence last night is worse than I've ever seen it dropping off an missing tackles all game the defence was like London's

Very disappointing. It was clear from the start she didn't really want to be there. So why did she play? She claimed she was physically and mentally exhausted yet her previous match was several days before so physically at least she should have been recovered. Given she was injured for much of 2021 and recovering in 2022 perhaps this is the first time she has played so much back to back. But that's the nature of the tour if you want to get to the top. Lots of hard work and not much fun. She may have just discovered this.
