Yea, our first time in that state. We heard of a big one in the area from a game warden. I may have seen it for like 2 seconds. It was huge but was 70 yards from me in brush.

I switched from v3 27 to the alpha x 30. Hate to say it but the grip and control the Mathew’s doesn’t even come close to Hoyt. The Hoyt grip is horrendous. I tore it off and ran hockey tape which helped quite a bit. My little 27” ata boa I could shoot 80 yards lights out, this Hoyt I just can’t get used to it. Hoyt draw is WAY EASIER AND SMOOTHER tho. 74lbs on Hoyt feels like 65 on my Mathew’s. I’ll be going back to Mathew’s for 2025’.

What brand of retractable hoist are you using in that Ranger 22? That hoist setup is awesome!

It was a big game treestands one. He has since ditched it and went to a hss retractable bow hoist on the saddle. We both run them like that.

Okay this is the best pack I have run......but. I am struggling with the lower back pad. It is positioned in a place that actually causes pain in my back. I have reached out to Latitude to see if there is a way to remove the pad without destroying the bag. For me, the pad is to thick and to dense. Again this is my opinion and my eperience, others may love it!

I’ll tell ya what…. I’ve run most of these bags, even just bought the ranger 11…. But I honestly think for half the price , the 5.11 Rush12 2.0 paired with some tetherd cinch strap kit takes the cake ….
@ProvenPursuit
@ProvenPursuit 3 ай бұрын
I actually have had the 1st version of the rush 12 for over 10 years. I use it all the time and have stuffed it over full with clothes and stuff. It has held up great. I’ll admit, I’ve looked at it a few times and thought about taking it hunting. Never thought about it for a saddle set up though. I’ve always ran a Badlands superday before I got a saddle and it was super easy to strap anything to.

@@ProvenPursuit Grab a set of the cinch straps from tetherd, attach the two buckle straps to connect ur platform and sticks and use a pair of cinch straps for the bottom in case u wanna pack in some heavier clothes . it’s no different than what a ranger pack does

@@ProvenPursuit absolutely brother! I just moved to Michigan from Florida. I inherited 5 acres with a small house and I have a 700+ acre farm behind me. I have deer in the back yard all the time. I’ve walked the back property and have seen game trails everywhere. In April I had found rubs in two places. So I am excited to see what your channel can teach me lol

You have any idea what the ph is? If its low those brassicas are really gonna struggle, i got 2 little plots and one is dryer with bad ph and it won't do nothing, my other with better ph is doing really well! My good one is getting some cal mag this weekend! Good luck 🤞

We didn’t do a soil test like we wanted to. So we just tossed down a bunch of fertilizer. It’s growing pretty good so far. We had a stretch where we didn’t get much rain. The last week we’ve gotten a decent amount and it’s popped up really good.

@@ProvenPursuit heck yeah! Hopefully your pH ain't to bad and they grow good, I didn't do a test on mine either but I did go in late winter and put 2500lb acre lime down and when I planted I put down probably 3500 and put 19-19-19 on it, and now I'm going to spray some cal- mag on the plants as a foliar to help the plants get micro nutrients, I even got a bag of Epsom salts ( mag- sulfur) and put down really lighty! My main problem is the damn rain, I think I'm going to finally get a good soaker today

While I understand rage blades don't hold up the best in broadhead "tests", I've been using rage heads for years and have never once busted a blade. Shot the original rage 3 blade for a while then switched the the hypodermic in 2016. Never had a problem with them. Never broke a blade even going through shoulders. Deer aren't walking round with Armour on. I suppose if we're talking elk or pigs then that's a different story. With all that said, I'm most likely going to be switching over to the rek hxp. I like what I see from that head and they are very durable

Got a question. I have the phase 4 shooting 75# 28” draw with a 370grain arrow. It shooting #19 sight tape witch seems way too slow compared to others I’ve seen. Also only have clearance out to about 75yards Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it???
@ProvenPursuit
@ProvenPursuit 7 ай бұрын
I’d check your actual draw weight. We have a friend with a lift and with 70lbs mods but was only get 65lbs. He just put 75lbs mods on it and his sight tape is high 20’s with a heavier arrow than yours. So could just be a Mathews thing.
