FYI if you make this wallet/purse I suggest you use 110cm lengths rather than 100cm as mentioned in the video

I tried this three times and had to tear it out. Wearing sleeves on your hands is very distracting and covers the work at times.Maybe if you used audio it would be helpful.

You don't have to add glue. Hotfix rhinestones already have glue on them that is activated by the heat of the tool.

somehow my strings turned out way too short, even tho I'm pretty sure i cut them the correct lenght... now i have half a bag and dont know what to do with it 😅

Oh dear 🤔 is it all the cords or just a few? You could try adding cord using reverse larks head knots with a half hitch each side but you would need to stagger them so that there are no holes. I would try maybe every 5 cords or so add a new one and pin the short one you are replacing out of the way. Do a few each row until you have replaced all the short cords. I hope that helps. It's a lot of work for this bag so don't give up!

sadly all are too short. could it be that my cord was thicker than i thought and thats the reason its shorter?

@@sarahsho9799 yes that could be a reason and also looser tension. I have only tried this bag with 3mm cotton cord and the cord lengths are what I used in the video. If you have more cord, I would try unwinding a few rows and adding cord over those few rows. Do a KZbin search for 'how to add cord to macrame'

Lovely!❤ However I did not understand the 150cms mark because all the cord lengths are different. Would it be 150 cms from the shortest length? It would be great if you can show it in your future videos. 🙏

The pattern starts at the 150cm mark. So all the cords are different lengths but each cord starts at 150cm (in the correct order). Then at the end of the pattern the remaining cord should be about 150cm so that both sides have 150cm left for the remainder of the bag. I hope that makes sense and doesn't sound more confusing 🙏🤞

I can't change the video now but will do that for the next one. You just place the cords on your board or rack from the centre and hold them in place with clips while you do the first few rows of square knots. I hope that helps 😊
