Love this video. Superstition Mountains are so incredible. My dog and I made it 3/4 of the way. He got a leg caught between boulders and we turned around. That’s one of my favorite places!

How did you attach it?
@whynotwander15 сағат бұрын
Great question, Codi! We used white duct tape on the outside seams and corners and HVAC foil tape on the inside. The foam board was also cut to fit tight.

Yeah, but if you’re not a manager, you pay for your site and everything else, so this doesn’t apply to most NP workers, unfortunately. Also, very limited RV sites for us “everyday folk.” I interviewed last week, after putting my application in a week prior, highlighting I only want to work if an RV space is included. During the interview, this was all news to her and I was told she wouldn’t know if an RV space would be available for at least a couple of weeks. Well, sorry, can’t wait forever for you to get your act together. I ended up accepting another position for better pay and no RV site charge. Is it Yellowstone? No, but it’s a lovely park with just as many things to do.

Some people put heaters under the RV after putting up skirting but we didn't. We have a heated underbelly (when the furnace is running) so we primarily put the skirting up to block the wind from blowing under the RV and it has done a great job at that. We run the furnace and have two small space heaters and we have been completely comfortable. 👍🏼

We chose to not do around the slide outs unless we felt we needed to. So far we've been comfortable. 😊

Great video. I lived in Sequoia NP quite a few years ago but still have fantastic memories. We’re a few months away from retiring and busy penciling in all kind of ideas on our to-do list. Heading back to a NP is right up there. Thanks, Nils

Hi, to let you know Xanterra at Glacier park managers will not back you up when there are issues. They are only concerned with bettering their positions. I worked historic preservation with a fantastic manager. We had zero support from the maintenance director of engineering. Not once in my 6 months did he ever check on our needs or offer any kudos for the work we did to make Xanterra look good to the National Park supervisors.

We don't believe Don was being negative, Brianna. We asked him for honest feedback on the biggest struggle they have and that is what they have experienced at their resort. Hopefully we can all take this information and learn from it and make a difference for the better. 😊 Thank you for the comment.

We just went full time (family of 4) in March of 2024. I do online reselling on eBay and I was able to make $60k last year while we traveled. We move every 2 weeks or so and I source at garage sales, thrift stores, and Facebook marketplace. Anyone can do it. Just requires common sense, basic math (buy low, sell high) and watching alot of KZbin videos to see what sells!

Some people say that the screw-on transmitters for TPMS systems that screw on directly to the valve stem are responsible for many valve stem failures. It sure would be nice if the RV industry would collaborate with the automotive industry to standardize on the internal transmitters that are found on most cars/trucks nowadays. I'm a first-time viewer, loved your summary, and added a couple of things to my list to check out! You got a new subscriber!
@whynotwander13 күн бұрын
Thank you for stopping by and for subscribing and leaving a comment, Moe! Some trucks and RVs do have the internal sensors but neither of ours do so we use the screw-on cap sensors. Our old Ford truck had the internal sensors from the factory and I'll be honest, they were more of a pain in my opinion. If you have a problem with one or need to change the battery you have to take the tire off the rim but not with the screw-on sensors. Also, most of the problems with the screw-on sensors that we've had were due to two issues; 1. old tires/valve stems, and 2. people tightening down the sensor too tight and end up twisting the valve stem and causing damage to it. As long as you are careful and pay attention to those two things you won't generally have a problem. Thank you for the great comment! 😊 -Matt & Laurie

Enjoy your videos, keep up the good work!.. if your comfortable with it i would love to see you make a video on how much it cost you on a yearly or monthly basis for your lifestyle! I want to make the jump into full time workcamping in a couple years when the kids are done with highchool.
@whynotwander12 күн бұрын
Thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement! ☺The only reason we've steered away from sharing costs is because a lot of our lifestyle choices are so different (food choices, supplements, natural health, etc...). We could definitely share fuel and RV-related costs if that would be helpful. It is safe to say that lifestyle choices/expenses in a sticks and bricks will remain the same on the road and may potentially cost a little more depending on the area you are in. Thank you for watching and commenting, really appreciate it!

Thank you for sharing this closet system. We have the same bedroom setup as you, and I have been struggling trying to find something that would fit and maximize the space. I have loved watching some of your videos to give me inspiration for the rest of our camper.

Does it matter which of the 5 sets of holes you use?
@whynotwander26 күн бұрын
Great question! It doesn't make a huge difference but you do want to extend the spring out as far as possible and then use the closest hole in front of your leaf spring u-bolt. That will give you the most adjustment. I started out using the second hole and then moved it to the third hole (8:53). Hope that helps! -Matt
