Great riding! Do you also ride big bikes ? I’m planing to get a supermoto tomorrow 😂 and get more seat time on it because it’s way cheaper on kart tracks and if I bin it in order to improve and have fun. Hope it translates to my big bike after

I've been in RC for four decades and into FPV since 2016. I have built a lot of quads. Really nice video. I have a HS5 and your tips will save me time. Also, thank you for the spinner file. Also, I'm a grandfather and I appreciate that you blanked the profanity from the video. Thanks!

I put about 30-35 hours on the motor over the 2024 season, still running great. Athena high compression top end with leaded race gas and a Smart carb makes a big difference in power and keeping the motor running right.

Great build. Came here from your comment on bardwell's video. Those prints are crap but the overall machine is incredible. I want one just because its so ludicrous.

Did you get any early warning signs of the issue? Brake lever feel going off on the lap before? The caliper bracket on the fork will be a tough fix. Were the bolts safety wired?
@alexchulzhanov
@alexchulzhanov 2 ай бұрын
Only when I heard the caliper scraping against the rim. I thought it was my chain or something at first which is why I was looking around in the video. I have a new fork tube coming and brake parts, will definitely safety wire everything before next season

@@alexchulzhanov looking at the failed aluminum om the fork top mount point,it looks like the lower bolt cam loose and the undpper bolt asomhad lossened but not fully come out. The bolt shank then smashed throughthe auminum. Was that what you had left, just the top bolt in the caliper bracket? Not sure if you just stuck the bolt back in for the static photo you are using for the video thumbnail or not… in either case condolences on the failure.

What’s the dry weight and all up weight of this thing?
@alexchulzhanov
@alexchulzhanov 2 ай бұрын
Dry weight is 660g with the 8" pitch props and spinners. AUW is just the additional weight of the battery, I think the Tattu R-Line 1800mAh weighs around 290g so 950g total. It's on the heavier side with all the printed aero parts.

Dude needs to suck it up and offer the stl’s to buyers. It’s ridiculous to gatekeep them in this hobby. Someone will 3D scan them eventually
@alexchulzhanov
@alexchulzhanov 2 ай бұрын
I ordered a complete set of prints but asked Brain3D to print them in ABS/ASA. The lower shell/battery bay is an overly tight fit so I need to make the clips a little looser but already the quad feels much more durable. I’ll make an update video eventually. 3D scanning in my opinion won’t really give good results because Brain3D also prints with very thick layer lines and sparse on the support material so the prints aren’t the best quality they can be. I sent an email to Chris with some of my feedback so hopefully he sees it and hears the concerns. I mentioned that this quad will get expensive very quickly having to buy reprints all the time, especially with brittle PETG.

I’m looking at building one. I’m wondering if an 8s battery is used and adjust the max throttle in betaflight to a 6s if that will help decrease the voltage sag. Similiar to using 4s motors on 6s and adjusting in betaflight. 🤷‍♂️
@alexchulzhanov
@alexchulzhanov 2 ай бұрын
@@Stevegoguen I thought about going with 8S, but all of my chargers and such only work with 6S, same with the Blitz F7 stack. Wasn’t too interested in the investment needed with 8S. My recommendation would be to use the (relatively) shallower pitch props (6 inch instead of 8 inch) so it puts less constant load on the motors. The 8 inch pitch props I used definitely give it that extra top speed but even cruising around it draws a lot of current from the battery.
