On the wee baby scrambler 400x as my first bike. However this old man is already thinking the new 2025' Speed 900 for my second. Keep the scrambler with 50/50 tires and upgrades for off road and the Speed Twin 900 for road cruising and fun. They really do sound amazing just stock.

That sounds like an amazing plan!

Nice video. I have a T100 at the moment, planning to trade it in for a 1200X. Reasons: more upright riding position, 6th gear, handles potholes better.
@2Wheels2RelaxАй бұрын
I think you'll enjoy that jump. Power is noticeable and slightly bigger sitting area if you are taller. 6th gear is always nice as well, but I don't use mine unless I'm on the interstate cruising at like 70mph or more

How the handling feel compared to your big front wheeled scrambler (think you mentioned yours being more stable, but falling into corners)? Tires could make a big difference, stock tyres normally arnt great.
@2Wheels2Relax3 ай бұрын
Great question. Overall the bike feels tiny. To me, it feels even smaller than the 400 I also rode. It's very responsive, much more than the scrambler. The scrambler takes pretty regular force to lean and stay leaned. This Speed Twin requires a lot of feedback, even mid corner. I think it could be really good with some high end tires. My scrambler really changed when I put a more street oriented tire on it. Much quicker and easier to tip

What’s your sprocket setup if you don’t mind? Factory or have you done some modifications to it? And also big fan of the length of the videos
@2Wheels2Relax3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for commenting! I'm really glad you like the longer videos. My bike is factory as far as the engine/transmission/sprockets etc. I've done mostly cosmetic things to the bike like fog lights, small flyscreen, luggage, seat padding. I'd say different tires and taking the baffles from the exhaust are the only mods that made the scrambler 'feel different.'
@joserivera18523 ай бұрын
@@2Wheels2Relax cool setup, baffles out in the 1200 is a mod that actually makes it 10x better. I have a little project in mind on checking out a 1200 xe with a sprocket mod so the ride is more like a speedmaster/bobber/t120 with longer gears. Love the immediate factory torque, they’re definitely tuned for 70% off road 30% street. The looks of them are just on another level imo. Stay safe✌️
@2Wheels2Relax3 ай бұрын
@@joserivera1852 awesome! I have about 11k miles on my bike, I haven't felt the need for a different sprocket... but figured I'd look at options once this chain wears out. Currently thinking about one of the tunes available. To see how much difference that makes. They claim to smooth out the low end throttle, but also remove the deceleration pops... which I actually like lol.
