I thought you never say ciao to someone you don't know that well. If you're a regular and friends with the bar workers, then that is fine?
@HOTON3 ай бұрын
Hi! Well it really depends where you are, if its an informasjon situation, and the age of the person you meet. You can say ciao to almost anyone. Cyclists greet each other with a ciao. Buongiorno is more formal. Switch to buonasera at 6. Or: use the older greeting: Salve. Which can be used to anyone, anytime! BUT, it’s very old fashioned. Not very common, but I hear it in our village every year: you pass an old person in the village who you don’t know. Then ‘Salve’ is a bulletproof way of greeting the person. In a shop, cafe or at the beach, you can ciao your way through the day😁👌

Hi! The only part that is not completed is from Oneglia to Porto Maurizio, which is about 3km. In the video, I chose the main road, but you could choose another route which is less busy. A few years ago, the bike path ended at SAN Lorenzo. So I’m happy that it now has reached the city where we always stay in the summer. If you bring your family, and you go from San Remo to Baia Salata at Porto Maurizio, you’ll be totally fine🏝️

I think one needs to be in good shape for the white bib. I also think it would look good with the "all city" jersey. Its one of the bibs I've got my eye on. Another good clean look is santorini's white pirelli jersey (with stripe) and some black bibs. Its another one for someone in good shape i feel. The jersey is a slim fit jersey. Edit: what jersey is that the presenter is wearing? And what is his name? Seems like a cool dude and the jersey looks awesome!

Then i may spend years imaginating what may be the greatest looking build. I use the bike as it is, and slowly But surely, i hunt down the parts that make the bike 100% BLING😁👌 Got one more De Rosa bike, also presented as a bike Crib Tour. Always wearing a helmet, easy. Being an alcoholic is a sad existence to live in the long run, die earlier + painful af as it keeps going. Plus, when out and about I could also smoke weed instead if I didn't feel like being sober

Yeah, thats a good point! Thanks for engaging in answering this dilemma. But still, i got to remind you that you would have to wear that helmet while sleeping, showering, during job interviews, in your own marriage, in the swimmingpool, on the plane, etc. etc. No, actually: you wouldnt have to wear it while sleeping, as you wouldnt be able to drink while sleeping either. @HOTON6 ай бұрын
Hi, my special take on it is that when you pass the hood, you go all the way up to the middle of the handle bar along the handle bar, and then you wrap the tape on your way back to the hood. That’s my take on it and as far as I’ve seen there’s nobody else who wrap the ball type in this way. It makes the result look very neat:)

I admire your passion for doing it yourself when you can. If you're going to true your own wheels, at least invest in a proper set of spoke wrenches, they're not that expensive. Second, never loosen spokes to true your wheels. Try to find the loose spoke or spokes that are allowing the rim to shift away from that side of the bike, and tighten those spokes. Wheels with loose spokes will quickly go out of true, and break nipples and spokes along the way. Third, if you decide to take your wheels to a shop for service, make sure that they have a spoke tension gauge, and that they know how to use it. Properly tensioned wheels can stay true for thousands of miles, even tens of thousands of miles. Fourth, if the rim is bent, replace it, or save up for a new set of wheels. Bent rims will lead to having very tight spokes on one side of the wheel, with very loose spokes on the opposite side, usually in multiple places around the wheel. The loose spokes will continue to get looser, and the wheel will not stay true, no matter how many times you try to adjust it. A good set of wheels will give the greatest performance improvements for the money spent, compared to anything else you can change on your bike. Keep on tinkering, ride far, ride fast, and ride smart!😁
@HOTON7 ай бұрын
ThankYou for those well spoken words! I can truly sense your knowledge on this field! The wheels you see in the video are 2008 model, ridden in all conditions, all year around… on salty winter roads… so at some point they became a bit off. I got one of those spoke keys, But its the wrong size. I tried using the adjustable one, But when the nipple is oxydized aluminium, it won’t move… And… im one of those guys who find buying servicing tools the least interesting… I totally agree that spokes shouldnt be loosened, to true the wheel. Wheel needs tension balance. The idea of this video is to show that it’s possible to fix your wheel with this one, very basic tool. I’m not saying it’s the best way. But it’s a solution, and it’s been working for me the last 7 years with no worries. And I suspect there are cyclists out there like myself, who could do well with this technique: the sub optimal diy way;) Finally: applause to you for taking the time to share your knowledge in such a great way. I don’t do many videos on bike repair, but if you haven’t seen my video on semi reversed bar tape, I would be intrigued to know what you think of this way of wrapping the handlebar… Cheers😁
@bergbilch7 ай бұрын
i totally agree - i bought a used trekking bike and it has some well made wheels i even crashed against the side of a car at full speed which snapped my fork in half but the wheels didnt budge one single bit:D they are heavy but i dont think they will ever break
@ethanbowering99447 ай бұрын
This is terrible advice. Those slots are for driving in the spoke nipples before bringing them up to tension during the wheelbuild. This is going to cause damage to them, and you won't be able to get the spokes to the right tension. Not to mention that it won't even fit if the spoke is protruding past the base of the slot. A spoke wrench is not a fancy tool, it's very cheap. My bike multi tool even has one. And while I really don't recommend this, if you really can't get your hands on a spoke wrench, you are better off using a tiny adjustable wrench (hold it close to the jaws to reduce how much torque you can apply, like an actual spoke wrench) to apply pressure on multiple sides of the spoke nipple where it is designed to have torque applied for truing. Look for a bike coop near you where you can use proper tools before attempting this though, that is the absolute last resort.
@HOTON7 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for engaging! Yes, i knew there would be reactions to this video, and thats why i initially stated: this is for the ones who dont have the tools to do the job, nor the cash to have it made by professionals, and still need some advice to fix it themselves. You got really good points. Still, this video is made for the more careless audience than yourself. And i suspect there are some viewers that might have good use of my way of doing it😂 So if anyone tries out my method, it would be interesting to hear how it works out!
