Are these the old coal camps? If so, the community has really kept them up. You must be proud to be from there.

Great drive! Pretty country church too. Was timber a big industry there? It’d be great to get a saw mill tour. Thanks for sharing.
@Holler_Boys34620 күн бұрын
@callmewheels4806 it used to be big industry, not so much now. I'm going to try to set up a tour soon.

Thanks for the ride along! I haven't been in that part of Kentucky for about 30 years. I'm from Barboursville just on the other side of Pineville. I miss my mountain roots and my southern lifestyle! But life took me north and I never returned to the country far as living there. But I do visit now and then. You boys be good. God bless 🙏

How is the Dirt-Biking in this area, can you get up into those mountains and explore with a dual sport bike? I would think there are dirt roads for miles and you would need to drop breadcrumbs to find your way back. where I live, I have to haul my dirt bike 50 miles to even find a dirt road.

I Love your videos when you just ride around and talk about the places you drive by. It really gives the viewer a Genuine Feel of the beautiful and interesting place you call home. Harlan has an incredibly rich history that the world is hungry to learn about. The coal that came from Harlan Cty. Ky., is responsible for a huge part of American growth and sadly the former coal camps and supporting communities are being allowed to deteriorate. Where you live is a monument to the birth and development of our Great Nation.
