Thank you so much for the video. I’m sure you have an idea how valuable this is that you’re sharing here. I am taking my admin certification programs and I’m starting my super badges and I’m having a very hard time and I’m confused a lot of times. And I do wonder how much do I need to learn to get a job as an admin which is something that I’m really looking forward to. I am staying positive. I’m putting in my due diligence every day at least couple hours at home and at work and I try to, so much as I can even though it easily becomes confusing so you are right I need to be patient and just go with the flow and just do my best and learn as much as I can. I was wondering if you could give me some pointers on how to start my own project, just like you so I can stand out among the rest. Thank you so much. God bless.

What are your opinions on the job market for Salesforce admins? There has been decreasing number of open positions, entry level to be more specific and a lot of people do not recommend the Salesforce admin career. Are you aware of this? What are your thoughts?
@garciajovani
@garciajovani 6 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, it is competitive and the market keeps heading that way. There's job postings within an hour they have more than 100 applicants that is bonkers. There's other routes than being an admin like sales, analyst, junior, training folks you name it...

If folks in the Salesforce ecosystem want us to succeed, why do they give such lousy and useless advice? I'm an MBA graduate and veteran of the USAF. I'm also a Salesforce Certified Administrator. It's shockingly incredibly difficult to establish a career within the Salesforce ecosystem. The only results I'm getting from employers who claim to hire Salesforce Administrators is ignored and rejected, which is very strange and discouraging. Can anyone please recommend actions I can take immediately right now to increase the likelihood of a career in the Salesforce ecosystem? I'd like to take actions that make a beneficial difference and I don't want to keep spinning my wheels and getting nowhere.

Do you have a portfolio that showcases your projects? Have you network with anyone in the community who can tell you what they did to get to the position they are in? Just trying to figure out what you have done to get into the door besides applying for jobs.
@garciajovani

Everyone has their own advices for others in the salesforce ecosystem. I've taken everything and utilized that information and make it my own. It is going to difficult especially when you have job postings with hundreds of applicants in a few hours. From what I've seen and experience it is an overnight thing, you'll have to apply to numerous postings and also remember don't apply with the same application. Tailor your resume and CV if you have one and make it relatable to what you are applying. Learn and try new things out what are you going to lose...

I passed the admin and advanced admin without any of these resources. People have to actually work in their developer sandbox and study the dry documentation to really get it. Trailhead is just an intro and all these courses that claim to help just encourage you to memorize important bits. That does not a Salesforce admin make.

A vídeo does not do justice to what really occurs on a daily basis. Think of this of a snippet as a SF admin, with time you’ll get experience work across cross functional teams, and who knows perhaps lead projects, the list goes on. Take this as a grain of salt. My two cents.

 I just subscribed. I'm currently on trailhead looking to obtain my admin cert. Military vet as well - Semper Fi I have a few questions : Would you happen to have a set schedule to follow? Are you hourly or salary? Can this position (with ur org) be mobile, or do you have to work from home (ethernet required)? I've never been in the tech world and want to get out of customer service as well.

Thanks for stopping by Alejandro! Congrats on getting started that’s the first step then obtain admin cert. So many variables come in play, if the company your working for allows hybrid or fully remote then yes majority of the time you’ll be working from home. Same here this is my first in the tech field and let me tell you down the road you’ll look back and be proud of how far you’ve gone.
