In my decades of advocating for someone that does NOT have “capacity” to make informed decisions, hence cannot, hence should not, have their “consent” accepted by medical and legal persons as “sufficient consent”, none, not one, even to the highest levels of surgeons, and judges, have ever once questioned if he is capable to give consent, and proceeded to do all they want to him. Or only for severe surgery we should go for informed consent ?
