Originally written for Josh Logan and released as single in 1980, then released four years later into his 1984 LP "That's How Angels Lose Their Wings" as a track. later the song was cut by Conway Twitty and was released as track into his 1981 LP "Mr. T" "Mr. T" became a hit from the single 7" "Tight Fittin' Jeans" which was the A-Side "I Made You A Woman" was the B-Side... In my opinion that certainly put a shadow over Josh Logan...

Keith Whitley is to quote Bret Hart 🥇The best there was. 🥈The best there is.. 🥉The best there ever will be... The greatest country singer to ever live, nobody can hold a candle🕯to Keith Whitley! Notable mentions below him in my opinion are Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, & George Strait, to name a few but they aren't on the same level as Keith Whitley. Keith began singing Bluegrass he could sing low Baritone & instantly without missing a note switch to a smooth falsetto all with perfect pitch. Keith Whitley is the Elvis Presley of country music.

@CountryArchives There are so many traditional country music we could all name but I can't put any ahead of Keith Whitley. I was 9 when he died & he is the only male singer to ever make me cry from hearing his passion of pain in his voice. Keith didn't just sing those sad songs he was those sad songs in his soul & the best art comes from torment, hurt, pain & Keith sang his soul in every song. Whenever I play a Keith Whitley song for someone they look at me like OMG who is this & why am I feeling such emotional connection to the songs. That is Traditional country music to it's core it is meant to grip every fiber of our being when we experience a master vocalist like a Keith Whitley. In 1989 we know Keith died but a huge part of me died with him. I knew that the world just lost the greatest singer who has ever lived. I said the day he died nobody can or ever fill his shoes. Keith Whitley lives in my soul forever but a huge part is missing 💔 for us all now. 🥺🕯🥹
