@danmalu2740 yeah I know that, but most of the time they over do it, im talking about how they choose like really hard eardrum ripping kicks and basses, that girl has a lot of bass but it's a reasonable amount

@@sw1rlyboi65this kick drum doesn't have enough impact for Pharrell lol he usually has it layered with stomps which is why you think it's bass boosted because you perceive their kicks as louder because of the higher frequency hitting with the lower frequency at the same time which has that almost snare buzz effect. The melody sounds more like smooth jazz from 2002, and the drum groove isn't loose or fluid enough for that Pharrell era. I can't even think of a single Pharrell song that has a melody like this, he used the Korg Triton and weirder sounds. There is also not enough "space" Pharrell always gave enough element space with the drums punching through, this beat feels too busy and the rhythm lacks that syncopation
