It’s been brought to my attention that, at some point in the video, I incorrectly state Riverdale is East of East Chicago, while it is, in fact, west. The rest of the video alludes to this but there’s the correction. Thanks for your continued viewing and support!

Riverdale is 14 miles west of East Chicago, not east. Goo captures. Hate that the pedestrian bridge is on borrowed time.

@@mkmcclure Correct. I had noticed that error just about as soon as I had rendered this video. This thing took over 7 hours to export so it wasnt practical for me to redo it. And yes, isn’t it a shame about the 502 bridge? Driving by it a few days ago on Cline, it’s now been condemned entirely…

Incorrect. IHB 2020-2022 were built as Gensets, but gutted of their engines and redelivered as mated pairs with the 4020-4022 in 2020.

beautiful video with sufficient explanation, very interesting! My brother has been working here in the Netherlands in the port for years, at the Blast furnaces (Tata Steel) one of Europe's largest steel producers. Greetings from the Netherlands

Awesome ..like the IHB colors and switchers. Saw many CSX coal hoppers in and around WV like (13:43) 834483 with this little figure on many of them in 2024.

this first SC-44, 4626, appears to be getting retrofitted with an ALC-42 nose cone at PLS right now. Not sure how much longer it'll be there, but it should be interesting when it gets released!

I’m not an expert but it’s a blown turbo that would cause the engine to smoke like that. Sometimes it’ll catch on fire

Excuse me, please let me know. Is the famous South Shore Railroad Line road track gone?
@albertcarello619
@albertcarello619 6 ай бұрын
@LoovesJf: Only the street running tracks are gone. First street running elimination was September 16, 1956 in East Chicago Indiana, the second the street running in downtown South Bend IN on July 7 1970, and finally in Michigan City IN on February 27 2023. Now this RAILROAD will look more like SEPTA REGIONAL ELECTRIC RAIL in Philadelphia. The GE 1Vs look similar to the South Shore Line's single level NIPPON SHARYNO cars .

@@albertcarello619 Thank you for the detailed information. I learned a lot about the history of the shared track. I thought the last shared track was abolished last year. I wanted to go to the famous 11th Street station. I'm also very impressed that the train is made in Japan. When I watched the video, I thought it looked a bit like a Tokyu train. Thank you very much for letting me know.

@@albertcarello619 I see, that's very unfortunate. 25 years ago in Japan, there was a large shared track at Inuyama-bridge on the Nagoya Railroad near Nagoya city, where large express trains and diesel railcars also ran. So I’d like to watch THE GE SILVER LINER IVs. Thank you so much for your very rare information!

Christ that poor GP38-2! I have never seen one dying that hard lmao. Also I'd been wondering about that seemingly random SD70 being put on local trains, 2661 kept throwing me for a loop for a while because of it's P5. I remember poking my head out of the break room at work and being very confused to see a big six axle heading a train long hood forward! Awesome video!

Do you know when AF8 runs to New Carlisle, IN?
@trtrproductions
@trtrproductions 6 ай бұрын
New Carlisle work is done by the AF3 crew. Unfortunately outside of knowing the crew assignment I'm not sure which days of the week they go east as the same job also works the Amtrak Michigan Line a few days out of the week. In any case it -should- be midmorning heading out that way, midafternoon coming back. Good luck, sorry I couldn't be more helpful! I am not as familiar with the east end of the railroad as I am the west...
