If I remember correctly, if you go to the Museum and check the Insect room, you can actually see a few beetles wrestle each other on the trees. Can't make them wrestle each other on your own, though.

Yes, Wii U can play City Folk (and other Wii games), but you will need a Wii remote. I strongly recommend the nunchuk accessory as well, so you can play with an analog stick.

You can use the gamepad as a screen for Wii games, but not as a controller. So yes, you could view it on the GamePad and play with the Wii remote & nunchuk. I think you'd still need a TV initially though, to set up the system the first time.

New horizons was my first AC game and i got new leaf on my 3ds but i havnt played much cause i perfer playing games on my tv over handheld and from what iv played which isnt alot there is things in NH i perfer way more

I'm used to New Leaf (although have dabbled in New Horizons and Wild World, and watched gameplay for the others) so when you watered the flowers I had a moment of "Wait, shouldn't there be drips and sparkles... There's no way he missed the flowers when watering... WAIT." Like you don't always notice or think about the QoL improvements in the moment but going back certainly makes you appreciate them. (Not saying I dislike the older games, mind! They still have their charm! A lot more quaint and cozy, honestly.)

These "longplay" sorts of videos, especially with your Animal Crossing towns, are so nostalgic and cozy! Especially this fall afternoon one! I definitely miss City Folk and unfortunately it's the one AC game I don't have my copy of at the moment, so these are a fantastic replacement. Your puns make it even better as always. Random fun fact, and you might need to test this if you didn't already know - I THINK you can press + on the Wii remote to select the Confirm button on menus, rather than point to it. I'm not sure if it's easier or faster, it's just something that popped into my head I thought I'd share - it's the most random and specific thing, I know!

Glad you enjoy the videos! Oh wow! For some reason, I was thinking that didn't work in City Folk, since you have to use the pointer to select the items. But you're right, you can press + to confirm! Thanks for the tip!

I must have exited town hall right at the top of the hour, and the timing somehow prevented it from playing the town tune. So there was about 15 seconds of silence. It was weird!
