@GREGBT69 ya on some tracks it's both. A pod in the middle and one on each side. I also speak from experience. Mids and vocals right in your head and forward, bass everywhere uniformly, and the treble regions in pods just outside of each ear.

Hey, do you think prx is upgrade to pr2?
@愛目16 күн бұрын
For those looking for musicality and refinement, yes! But for those looking for an analytical, (overly) technical, and cold sound, the PR2 would still be better. However, my thoughts are based on the PR3. Though, there are some graphs that suggest that some versions of the PR2 (perhaps the silent revision one) have the same sound as the PR3.

I want to upgrade from my tangzu wan'er. I liked the vocals, clarity and subbass in this. I want to upgrade on better bass, good surround sound stage and better separation in the sound. My highest preference is the comfort and my budget is around 100-150$. Can you suggest me the best one. I'm confused whether it's worth spending this much so that I don't have to spend more
@愛目Ай бұрын
I honestly did not like, but not outright dislike, the Tangzu Wan'er. It was quite mediocre in its technicalities, but quite musical. Both have similar tunings, but the KZ PRX trumps the Wan'er in all aspects, except, perhaps the timbre due to PRX's planar driver, though, I find the PRX to sound decently natural. You're basically hearing the Wan'er with a different driver and with more sub-bass, better technicalities, that includes soundstage, faster bass attack and decay, and similar imaging. Though, you may find the PRX more sibilant compared to the Wan'er since it has more air. For my ears, the PRX is decently comfortable, but it depends on your ears. But, if you found the Wan'er comfortable, you might find the PRX also to be comfortable. As for $100-150, unfortunately, I cannot give you any recommendations because I have not tried to a great extent any IEMs in that price range. I have only the Soundrhyme SP01, which is my most expensive set ($89) I've reviewed in my collection. And there is also the EA500 which is $60. I wish to review more in that price range, but for now, I'm focusing on budget ChiFi, and probably only will be able to purchase for review budget ChiFi. I'd suggest to perhaps invest the remaining $100, when you do buy the PRX, in a powerful DAC, since you'll definitely need it to hear improvements in sound for planars.

great and detailed review, i have the jcally jm6 pro dongle do you think it will able to drive the kz prx ?, and also do you think that the kz prx need foam tips to tame the treble ?
@愛目Ай бұрын
Based on a quick research for the JM6 Pro, it has 60mw which would provide ample power for the PRX! Other people suggest going for 100mw above, but I think, unless you want to blast these to the max, you don't need 100mw. 29.75 was barely enough for me, but I appreciate it better with my KA13 which provides 550mw and allows me to blast to the max. In my experience, the foam tips make the PRX slightly darker, and it's noticeable, and makes the stage even narrower, so I suggest not using foam tips if you have widebore tips or other tips already comfortable sounding and fitting for you. The PRX sounds quite refined that you can enjoy these without needing to tip roll for its sound as much. If anything, I'll look for tips that boost air and sharpen imaging, but I'm happy with how much the PRX provides.

@愛目Ай бұрын
@@Weaztek If you want more warmth and rumbly bass, the Saga Bass. EDC Pro has a clearer sound since it has leaner bass, but both have the same technicalities. Have not tried the normal Saga, which could very well be the same as EDC Pro, but with an all-metal shell. Also the Saga costs twice as much as EDC Pro, at least from my available online platforms. But both are darn cheap. If you have problems with metal shells, like humidity or the like, and cannot handle large nozzle sizes then go with the EDC Pro. Both have the same drivers. Saga has better venting though. It really depends. I'd choose neither to be frank. Both are boring to me.

@愛目2 ай бұрын
(1111, Dunu S&S) CCA Trio is still one of my go-tos, but the TRN V10 scales better for my ears, sounds less shouty, sharper imaging, and has more air and sparkle. But the Trio sounds smoother, less boomy (tucked bass), less sibilance (has appropriate sibilance imo), and has the most linear mids in this comparison. I assume the Castor Bass? I like the (1100, Dunu S&S) CastorB for its bass. It has more stage depth, physicality, and punch compared to these two sets.

The way every reviewer criticizes Carol's ANC baffles me. Coz it's just as good as almost every other budget earbuds and even better than a lot that cost much more. Thing's people mis-categorize the Carol, it costs 30$ but everyone expects it to compete with 100$ earbuds from anker, sounpeat or realme and likes, but compare it to QCY, Baseus and likes, it delivers quiet a lot and especially in sound, even the Melobuds cannot come close. So remove the lack of fancy features and App, The Carol is hard to beat. People just like to find faults in this but to me this earbuds is almost perfect.
@FeroVlkolinsky3 ай бұрын
ANC is above average in it's price range, multipoint is superb feature, but sonically they are not even close to best in their price range - unles you're a total bass-head. My phone has tons of bass by default and with Carol I already hear distortions in lows.

@@FeroVlkolinsky KZ is a bassy brand and they don't even hide it lol, so you can tune down your phone a little bit and solve everything. The sound on the Carol is superb or so I've heard as my own hasn't arrived yet. Btw the last low priced earbuds i used that shocked me is the Mibro AC1 which is kinda much better QCY HT05 (with all the hype it got) with it's spatial sound. It's just soo clean and whole, soothing too, i loved it. If the Carol is even 10% better than the Mibro AC1 then I'll say it delivers more than it charged. And with the 42db ANC on the Mibro being very strong for low frequencies, the Carol should be stronger with 55db on low frequencies of course. I wouldn't expect it to cancel human voice and vehicle honks for this price lol. People just expect Sony/Bose level stuff on something that's less than ⅒ the price
