I am feeling the same. Instagram is just "too much". They think creators dont have life other than chasing their demands of post, stories, reels , engagement, dms , and hashtags. The list is endless.

Cant confirm this. On my KZbin start Page the Videos have at least 10k views.. Most 100k and above. On Insta I get pics with under 150 likes and 1500 subscibers

I am a part of the Shorts Community Program and I can guarantee you, KZbin actually cares about their creators. Not just for monetization, but they actually want us to enjoy ourselves creating and even taking care of ourselves. They're the best!

It is an absolute mind fuk and madhouse on IG!! IG is confusing, with their rules and ridiculous community guidelines. They say to share, create reels, etc. And somehow, new rules penalize you for sharing, or resharing others posts etc. I have one foot out of IG

I've only just started an Instagram/tiktok account for promoting my author/artist works, but I already see how little personality can come through. You perfectly summarised the difference in the content styles and I think I definitely will rethink my strategies. Only issue for me is I don't like talking on camera, and have just got used to putting my face out there, but great video! Keep it up! 🙌

I can attest that it can take time for a video to take off, it’s taken six months for a video to get some lift on my primary channel. It can take the SEO some months to clock your content. So hang in there! And seo optimize your title, that really helps ❤

As an artist whose content technically suits Instagram better, I’m so done with it too 😂 I’ve been stuck at 2,8k followers for YEARS now. My effort doesn’t seem to bear any fruit at all. Most of my stuff doesn’t even get shown to people who actually follow me, let alone getting views from other accounts. At least KZbin, although not suitable for the type of things I create, show my short animations to people potentially interested and I still get 1-2 new people subscribe to me on a daily basis. At this point I don’t expect anything form either of the platforms, I’m just trying to enjoy my craft independent of my engagement rates 😅 I just can’t keep up with the rat race anymore. Anyway, great video! Phenomenal observations about entertainment vs. search engine models ❤ I’m now subscribed 😊

This is why I've been on and off Instagram this past few years. It's so tiring to be there. But recently because I realised I can also schedule posts on Instagram now, I'm recycling my shorts into Instagram reels. But even that I'm planning to stop. It's just becoming so useless for a smaller creator like myself.

When Meta bought instagram the writing was on the wall for me. I said, “great this app is just gonna get stupider and stupider from here on out 🤷🏻‍♀️😭” and it really has. With every. single. update. KZbin is definitely where it’s at! I’ve been watching this platform since 2003 and it still reigns supreme!

Best thing I ever did was tell Instagram to go F*** itself! @instagram 🖕#instagram Instagram is worthless! Instagram is not worth the time and effort put into it! The investment of time and effort, versus the return in clients, views, exposure, is NOT GOOD! Not worth the time invested! @youtube seems like a MUCH better choice! Instagram is gross junk food, while KZbin is a home cooked meal, or a sit down meal at your favorite restaurant! I wish you success Leena!

Interesting perspective & very well articulated . KZbin has always been better Long term for content and Monetisatation . If you're a photographer or want to show case pictures IG doesn't really have a worthy competitor . I think we'll all have to do a bit of everything it's just which platform you choose to give most of you're attention .

I took a photo of a bug. I posted it on Instagram. I went to _New Posts_ to see my photo. Oh no, Instagram removed the option for people to view _New_ posts. This ostensibly was done for our safety. All visitors can only see what Instagram has deemed is popular. So I am invisible. I won't make the mistake of using Instagram again.
