Went though yesterday and couldn’t get enough of it. My great grandfather and his brother came out to mine from Ireland to Reefton and it felt like home. One of them is buried there and one lost in Reeftons bush never to be found. RIP.Such amazing restoration of the town. Wonderful

Thanks so much. I've always been fascinated by cemeteries too. I just visited a Jewish one in Germany outside the town of Tubingen. The last grave is dated 1942. There is no one left to leave stones. The gravediggers and clergy refused to help the widow of the last deceased person bury her husband and the Union leader was the only one brave enough to help the old lady. So many amazing stories to find.

Great movie! Beautifully filmed with great music and I was fascinated by this man's enthusiasm for cemeteries and the interesting stories he shared. Thanks!

So you're saying that by gluing a strip of Japanese tissue to a broken hinge, that will support the board to the spine? I very much doubt that, it might look good (and that's debateable) but it certainly is not a proper fix for a broken hinge.

How beautiful. Wonderful that it is maintained in keeping with it's heritage status. A sense of community is mentioned frequently, such an important part of living.

What a lovely country. It’s a shame Jacinda has ruined it, and turned it into a place hitler would be proud of.

I do some antique bible repair and I’m not a professional or went to school for this.. its just a hobby thing I do. I’m guessing the materials I see are “ Shoji paper as Japanese paper, shoji paste, laid paper deferent types, reemay fiber tissue or ruscombe mill tissue, and leather dye.” Water base solution: distilled or deionised. Hydrogen Peroxide or ammoniated water. I don’t know.. it works for me🤷🏻♂️
