now I want to watch the Firebird Worship early. Now?

Thank you for the beautiful and well-crafted service. I heard the Isaiah passage in a new way. What keeps nagging at me through this scripture and the message is what about those people that it doesn't seem God gets through the waters? What about the people that drown? I'm thinking of the Ukrainians whose country is being ripped to shreds. I'm thinking about the Palestinians who are loosing everything. I trust that Isaiah's passage is for them as well. I don't know how to reconcile today's scripture and message with what I see happening in some parts of the world. I've thought that perhaps my discomfort is God's prodding to help the Ukrainians and Palestinians. But I don't know how to do this. I tried to get my local congregation to join forces to resettle Ukrainians and Palestinians. But that idea fell on deaf ears. I'm wondering if Firebird Spirit folks would respond to the idea. I have no idea what that would look like or what it might demand of me. Actually, I'm a little scared about that. But I put it out there anyway, for prayer, for others reactions. Blessings on you for the openings you are creating.

✞We all need to repent and turn to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He Loved us enough to carry an over 100-pound cross and have His hands and feet nailed to it. I know the feeling! Maybe try befriending the thoughts by saying, "Thank you, but I need to take a rest from you for a while." Sometimes I think our thoughts are like petulant little children who just want to be center stage even if they have nothing to really contribute. :-)

I disagree x, it is Jesus Christ, the anointed One, King of kings and Lord of lords, the first and the last, the Alpha and Omega, the lion of the tribe of Judah. Etc. The Firebird is the Phoenix, a non-Christian symbol

We are not saying it is NOT that ... just that the term "Christ" is also recognized by others, as well. One God. Why not One Christ?

I'm a moderate, I have voted on both sides throughout my life. I didn't like either side this time, But I liked one side much less than the other. I have friends on both sides of the aisle, and I've watched them fight each other with a lot of malice over the last decade or two. On either side, they are good people. They are my friends. They have love in their hearts, just none for each other, which is so hard to see. Thank you for creating this. It's beautiful.

Thanks for taking the time to write. We really believe that this is a time of birthing a whole new way of being in the world, but not everyone is going to see that right off the bat. We agree with you that we have to find ways to listen without sitting there and thinking what our come-back is going to be when the other person is talking. For us, growing out of the Jesus tradition, we have examples of how to deal with pretty much everything facing the world right now. But saying you believe something is way different from actually LIVING that way. Don't give up. So much of the world is 49-49 and we have to cast the vote that tips everything to one side or the other. You can do this -- you can help lead the way because you are friends with "both sides." You are why we're here. Thanks for taking the time to write ... keep coming back, and share our link, if you would. And let us know how we can help to support you wherever you are!

Palestine is an insult made by a Roman emperor to insult the Jews and name them the land of their enemies philistines because they always created uprisings and were rebellious against Rome. Also, the alphabetic “P” doesn’t exist in Arabic. This comes from a Gen Z that barely graduated high school, that embarrassing that I know history with only a high diploma, and in my 20s better than you. lol pathetic.

What makes you think he was a Palestinian Jew? He could only become a Jew if one of his parents were Jewish and if the other one was Palestinian, although they got along back then how come they’re not getting along now the Palestinians and the Jewish people of Israel got along in peace lived amongst one another in that fashion for decades so what changed it? What made us so differently? I don’t believe Jesus was a Palestinian. I believe he was original Jew from Israel. The Bible says different if you’re implying that Jesus on the Palestinian side then where is he now, he’s so-called people are being slaughtered by thousands. I think you got your ideologies wrong. God is on Israel side because he knows how evil the Palestinian people are not all Palestinian people like that thank God but if they all feel that way towards Israel, then they got what they deserved as far as I’m concerned, and the eyes of Jesus can correct me cause only he can answer that one and it really doesn’t matter what you think things are gonna work out where evil is out and the good as in we need to read the world of evil so that the rest of the Christians in this world can live in peace after all this war is over what the world needs done after that is lots of love and lots of hugs to go to everybody and I hope I’m there to give you that hope and give you that hug that we also desperately need sometimes war is meant for a reason. It’s God’s way of showing you the consequences you get when you start an unnecessary war rather than necessary peace.😊❤ God bless both sides made a Palestinian people learn from this😊❤

Wrong thing! Jesus is not the j thing! He is THE SON OF GOD! No lesbian! Read about Sodom and Gomorah. Gen.10:19, 18, 20:19. Again his teachings, entirely! John 3:16 believe on Him and be saved, then you will know, not guess about truth.
@FirebirdSpiritHopeАй бұрын
Thanks for taking the time to write. Healthy discussion about faith enriches everyone. We are not telling anyone what to believe ... but we follow the teachings of Jesus who drew the circle wide. Never did he say that someone had to change before he helped them. He entered into relationship with them and they were changed by his all-inclusive love. That's the model that we are coming from. Linguistic research and study about Sodom and Gomorrah shows that the issue was not homosexuality (which, BTW, was a simple fact of life in that part of the world at that time) but rather, Hospitality and that lack of it expressed to the visitors. Across all cultures of that time and region, hospitality was the life-giving and life-affirming standard. Do we at Firebird believe Jesus was the Son of God? Of course we do. But do we think that ANY faith has the corner on limiting who He is or was by applying static titles to him? Absolutely not. And to discuss any of the meaning of the Gospel According to John would take way too long a response than we have room for here. But again, we would encourage folks to read some of the recent scholarship on the language and cultural context.

Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." NOT “I am a way and a truth and a life. People can come to the Father without me." I rebuke your false teaching in the name of Jesus! You are one of the people prophesied in Matthew 7:15.

Thanks for sharing. We will continue to pray for the Spirit's presence and the expanding message of the Gospel by recognizing the Pentecost lesson, i.e. God speaks to each person in a language they can understand. You have found your way to communicate with God. Others are still seeking the Way and we believe that it continues to evolve through he Risen Christ leading us in the "evolving Way of the Spirit." Blessings and peace in this season of His Birth.

@@FirebirdSpiritHope You're a unitarian universalist from what i see. That goes totally against scripture. Matthew 7:13-14 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
