Taffy Bowen and Freddy Edwards from the Penywaun estate in Aberdare were the best fliers in Wales and Britain . A guy from Hirwaun named Booby Taylor was good God Bless him a nice bloke he was good with young birds but he has passed on but he flew in Penywaun club against the Edwards who are considered the Best with the old birds and especially the knowledge they have with the widowed hens , incredible.

This is absolutely brilliant and well done Peter for recording this and it is a fantastic showing of what it was like to qualify and perform so well at Ireland's first World cup well done!
