altogether nice job except: if you drop the fields out of the frame without noting which pole pieces and which shims, then after assembly, with clean armature lam, reshim fields with feeler gauge gives equal gap

Hellow sir! I am electrical technology student here in Philippines. I just wanna ask is there any chance I could apply in your company as tranee and at the same time employee. Thank you for your response ❤.

Have you guys ever had any trouble power washing amatures? Ive heard some places try to not do so because of potentially washing wet carbon onto the back of the comm.
@ontarioelectricmotorman73092 жыл бұрын
Hello Taylor. Before we wash any armature we will blow out any excess carbon or contamination with compressed air. Once all the debris has been blown out we will steam clean the armature and put it in our oven for dry out. With older armatures we will wash it from a bit of a distance so we do not damage the insulation.

105Hz is quite an oddball, any idea what this was used for?
@ontarioelectricmotorman73092 жыл бұрын
That we have no idea. We usually don’t check if it is overhaul only.

Was the overhung impeller already balanced or taken into consideration?
@ontarioelectricmotorman73092 жыл бұрын
For this case, we balanced the impeller first because it was too much out of balance. We made a new shaft for the impeller balancing, after that we put the impeller on the rotor and balance again. In most of the cases, you can balance them together.
@twintwo14292 жыл бұрын
@@ontarioelectricmotorman7309 good practices. In our shop, we found that up to 20% of new impellers are not balanced to G-1 SPECS. same for various other attachments also. We had a customer complain of excessive vibration in a hazelton pump we rebuilt, less impeller. They installed a worn impeller with improper gap at wear ring. Go figure!!!.
@ontarioelectricmotorman73092 жыл бұрын
@@twintwo1429 yes, we would need the impeller, pulley or coupling sent in with the motor, unless it is a small unit.

Saludos, como saber a cuantas RPM debo ajustar la realizacion de las diferentes pruebas en funcion del rotor, existe algo de guia? De antemano gracias.
@ontarioelectricmotorman73092 жыл бұрын
