Just came back from KL after staying there for a month. The workers in the hotel were mostly from Bangladesh and Pakistan, but they were attentive and polite. I like Kuala Lumpur better than Singapore and Bangkok. The former is too clinical while the latter is a congested mess (although food & transport were cheaper than KL)

comparatively, BKK is more expensive than KL for tourists, as confirmed by one worldwide agency. Food in BKK looks cheap but the quantity is smaller. MRT, light train transit and Grab KL is cheaper bcos petrol and electricity are cheaper in Malaysia. Singapore, can forget about it. I havent been outside of changi airport for more than 10 years now,

Ouch! That's the thing about long distance travel, flight cancellation, hotel booking mix up, weather not prepared for or not expected of, etc. And once or twice we happen to be the unfortunate ones who get affected 😔 I myself try to get straight flights, no transits. I didn't mind being inside the plane for a good 13 hours from kl straight to london, unlike many others who prefer stopover in dubai etc. Well hopefully after that one unenviable incident you two would experience nothing but pleasant and joyously memorable holiday wherever you head for. I am also coming to sheffield this year and have taken uni accommodation but i got a bit surprised that that there is no water hose next to the toilet. Can you request the uni to give any kind of water hose or bidet option or not?. Plzz reply i am actually from a country where there is no concept of toilet paper at all (we use water for cleaning down there😅) and now i am alot worried.

Hey! I'm staying at Sheffield's Endcliffe village in Froggatt. I was wondering whether or not we need to bring a kettle, toaster, ironing board/iron, brooms and mops with us or if they're provided by the university? Thanks! X

Hey, I used to live in Endcliffe and all of that is provided already (except maybe iron and ironing board, I never did any ironing so I wouldn't know lol)

I lived in Birchen and all were provided including the ironing board. I assume it will be the same at Froggatt 😊
