The Soul of Iron buff is something you have to turn on by talking to an NPC in the Undercity. I hadn't turned it on because I didn't like that randomly turning gray with an orb floating around me. Now that I have progressed further in raids (videos coming soon), I turned it on

Those warriors had it coming. They're playing the most likely to die class and they don't react to a double pull at all. Did they make it all the way to cap by only pulling perfectly?

@@kenny5844 that’s a good question. It’s really the investment I’d be too afraid to lose personally. Sod has my heart but for those who enjoy hardcore, you got more time than I do that’s for sure 🤣

But hardcore started in diablo 2 where being able to remove yourself from the fight if it got too heavy was very much a thing. If there was no petri-out ability then there would be no end-game content. I think it's a balanced mechanic.

Especially with how long it takes to even get to 60. You can be as cautious as you want but when there are known bugs like a cockroach getting social aggro, some things are out of your control. If they did remove it, they'd need some sort of replacement or people just wouldn't play.

I'm glad you got time to level to 60 everytime anyone makes any mistake in a dungeon. The rest of us don't lol that server would die so fast.

@@Sepiormon The server would not die at all, it would be one of the most played server in classic HC 100%. If you think people dont like a chalenge you are the problem. They made everything ez for you in retail that game is no longer fun and its dying. Most top guilds never used petri in any raid anyways and oneshoted everything.

@@ThePianistONE crazy how people did play like that at first, but have all died out. Removing petri would kill the casual hardcore continuity which is like 80% of the population. Making everyone waste 6 days of playtime everytime someone over pulls or gets roach aggro would just make people stop playing. The only people who really wanted no petris were mostly streamers or people with a lot of time in their lives. Most people aren't those two. If you don't want to use petris then just don't lol.

How could you come to that conclusion when you can't see it from my POV? The reason I put that on screen was to bring up what we talked about after from different perspectives.

​@@MoreKolgarr because it dosent work like that. He pulled with hes range wep. A roach runs and can pull only after getting a debuff like for an examle demo shout.

In hindsight, there are a lot of things we could have done, most of all just calling petri immediately. But having back-up failsafes weren't discussed because UBRS is very easy usually. How it happened is tough and obviously we would've just waited longer and it would've been fine, but that's the nature of hardcore. The game's the game.

i mean in hindsight they should have all leveled engineering and all dropped target dummy and all 10 of them should have sticky glue'd and all 10 of them use sleep dust, and all 10 of them fear, and all 10 of them should've got foresight and watched this video to see what went wrong before going into ubrs.

I play with a tilted keyboard. 1-3 are actually incredibly uncomfortable for me to press, that's why they're my melee. While I agree with you on the other criticisms; they are all valid and stuff I need to work on, I disagree with keybindings should be on certain buttons, because it should just be whatever is comfortable for each person.

Oof that's rough, sorry to hear that. I died at 45 to a disconnect early on in hardcore. While it's not the same as a 56, I know the feeling

It's such a good feeling. It hits even harder in hardcore knowing you completed the challenge. I would care less about dying at 60 than I would at 59.
