This is the average tf2 community server experience. Or really any source game for that matter. Also please turn HTML MOTDs off. It's under Preformance options at the bottom in the advanced settings menu. It actually makes it better to get into the game when the funny 2004 engine doesn't have to load modern-ish page pages while also rendering other shit.

@@Crasher64-PotatoMan HTML MOTDS are when the Message of the day screens (the screen when you join a server that usually say "Welcome to Team Fortress 2") have embedded HTML Code in them (webpages) that are usually used to show ads. It significantly reduces preformance since Source wasn't really originally optimized for complex ad pages
