I'm 36 years old (I'm not the only one who will say this), I grew up to this show as a kid. "Nobodys ganna leave you" "Yeah, We'll all be together" Knowing about Dinos now like I didn't know then, this was a perfect ending. Surrounded by loved ones, together, no matter the hardships....FAMILY ❤❤❤❤❤❤

i have an honest question is there controversy behind this ending or no to me the ending makes sense but i wonder if people were kind of taken aback sure this a series about dinosaurs and the did go extinct but i wondered if any fans of this show while it was airing would thought they would really do it although fun fact i metioned this show to my sister who hasn't seen one episode at all and she guessed that it would end like this

"it's not like we're going to just... Disappear." Their faces after that line basically show the realization that this might be the end for everyone

'What's gonna happen to us?' The look everyone else gave each other. They all know. They just don't want to say it. The show with the character I hated most after steve urkle.... used that character to rip my heart out. Bravo.

I was just told about this show and know nothing about it, and yet I almost started tearing up when they all told the baby that no one was gonna leave them. Very uncanny puppets, and a bit heavy handed in a message, and yet I kinda love it

So it wasn't an asteroid that ended the dinosaurs. It was corporate greed and stupidity.

Henson was an environmentalist who gave us Song of the Cloud Forest and Fraggle Rock. It wouldn’t surprise me if he approved of the finale.

My mother told me my sister used to watch this show when she was little, not sure if she was able to see the ending of this but god it feels so fricken sad. To elaborate shes I’m her 30’s and im in my early 20’s, I haven’t fully seen the show just small bits and pieces but I can tell the show had a lot of care and love in it and this final goodbye styled end where the extinction event of the snow happened just felt depressing. I know we all got that feeling but god it’s just so fucked that they actually were straight with the audience almost that it’s the end for all the dinosaurs in that show

The first time I saw this episode, I was crying and had to rewatch Earl's talk with his family to the end credits. The fact the whole Sinclair family all died together.

Actually apparently it was not, I found out way later, but people know it as the end so that's why I just leave the title, but from time to time someone asks and I'll reply to them

A lot has been said about this episode, and a lot of excellent points were brought up. Earl's statement of taking nature for granted is very true. At the beginning of the episode, everyone was expecting the bunch beetles to make their appearance. When they didn't show up, no one wondered what had happened at that second and carried on as if life was normal. It wasn't until Charlene and the last Bunch Beetle found the wax fruit factory on the mating grounds for the Bunch Beetles that the dots begin to truly connect. The young of the beetles kept the plants in check, which were now overgrown. The evil megacorporation, led by Mr. Richfield, looked for the easiest route to solve the problem, never realizing that wax fruit is a want, never a need. The quickest answer was to use herbicide on the overgrown plants. The herbicide succeeded in killing every plant. The quickest answer to that was to drop bombs into volcanoes to get clouds for rain. It created the ice age. Richfield likely died counting his money, not caring that he led to his species extinction. Earl was remorseful and explained things in a way for his youngest child to understand. Is it sad? Yes, it is. This last episode of Dinosaurs is like the last episode of M*A*S*H. That show ended with everyone going home. Everyone knows that happened when the Korean War ended.

It was really sad....They all died even though we didn't see it...The one and only time the Villain killed everyone and succeeded...yes, I'm talking about Richfield because HE was the one who killed everyone, including himself, and not Earl. Sure, Earl killed the plants and caused a terrible winter, but it was all because Richfield said it would work because all he cared about, as he himself proved, was money. A It's all because Richfield built the factory to kill all the beetles, except Stan, so theoretically, Earl wouldn't have killed the plants and caused the ice age if Richfield had NEVER built that Wax Fruit factory, then the Beetles would have eaten those Sugar Poppies like always and everything it would still be good, but NO, Richfield was only interested in money, so HE is the REAL villain, not Earl...
