I still watch this from time to time to be reminded of how fortunate I was to spend time over there. We were in Building 1116 from 80-83, and then dad transferred to Rhein Main from 83-85. Both 1116 and Rhein Main are long gone now, but this video take me back..thanks so much for sharing it.

I'm very impressed with the stability of what was obviously a gigantic video tape recorder that you used to film this back in 1985. Also surprising how much in Ramstein Village has not changed even to this day.

My dad was at USAFE 81-84, when I was grades 5-7. I recognized so many visuals on this drive:the chapel, old BX, theater, Jr. high wow. I never thought I’d see these again-only in my head! Thank you for posting this. The soundtrack was spot on especially Eye of The Tiger!! Perfect.

I was the playground monitor for the elementary school in 1981 during my lunch hour, worked across the MAC pad at 608 MASS.. Admin in the Enroute Maintenance building.. Wore that winter jacket with the hood that closes up in front leaving a small opening... the kids all called me Eskimo Man... lol

Thank you for the information? I have the same receiving card but I lost the sending card, it was an S2 Colorlight sender box, but I have Linsn and Novastar sending cards, I'm very afraid to test that with those sending cards. Did you test the 5A-75b with other brands sending cards? How would it work?

It's not using the sender card, it's going to be receiving the control from a raspberry pi. Check out videos from panelsrus.co.uk for a two part instruction

Where does one start with the pixels? I have the 6 ring chromastar? Is there some diagrams for this.

The wiring diagram can be seen in xlights if you import that model from the list of boscoyo items. Just remember it will show from the backside where you will be pushing the pixel from. I find it helps to number the holes based on the wiring diagram, not all of them, but every tenth or so and draw a line from pixel 1 to the end on the back with a sharpie.
