Hi, yes it’s ok to stop on the Single yellow line if asked to pull up on the left but consider other factors such as not blocking a driveway, opposite or near a junction etc. However if examiner asks you to pull up at a specific spot then you need not worry just pull up there.

No it’s not, would be a serious fault depending on how long you’re driving above the speed limit for.

I'd wondered about this. Tazer-like electric shock, liquid ammonia driven by a CO2 soda water cartridge etc. But, such devices, also your fish hooks, are almost certainly illegal. You're absolutely not permitted to kill or cause serious injury to burglars breaking into your home - electric shock, poison, IED, bear traps etc; in fact, the deployment of such intentional harmful or lethal devices will land you in serious, serious trouble in the UK. That's just the law. No good shouting about how unfair that is. Same restriction applies to outside your home, probably more so, I guess. It would be a shame if you ended up in court getting a worse punishment than the scumbag - plus, the scumbag and all his chums will find out who you are and exact revenge at leisure. On balance, I think it's probably better just to be careful and not get your phone snatched.
