I’ve been watching so many videos and researching because I’ve been told is a ghost town don’t move here the crime is horrible it’s racist…. I’m moving from Arkansas to texas😂😂😂 doesn’t sound to far of a difference. But I’ve heard some good too. Hopefully I get more good than anything.

Lived there for 40 years, the traffic is bad because everything is built around South Broadway Blvd. no freeways. Public schools are not the best, white flight to suburban schools and there are 5 private high schools and one charter high school. Katrina brought in a lot of folks that stayed and that wasn’t a good affect for the most part. That speaks volumes without further comment.

Traffic overall in Tyler is fairly easy except for South Broadway at certain times of day when it is basically bumper-to-bumper for miles

If you want to give people a realistic view of Tyler, go to the Butler College area, north Tyler, the east side north of Front St. Get away from downtown and the affluent areas, of which half the city is not. Actually talk to someone who is not white. And everyone is not nice, unless you are part of their social class. Lived here since ‘71 and have seen it double in size and population.

I love the Azalea District - the older homes have so much charm and character!

I live near downtown and I know a friend that goes to Tyler downtown a week and then I told him. I go to downtown Tyler everyday. You know why? BECAUSE I LIVE NEAR DOWNTOWN

If you are moving to East Texas, I recommend Tyler Martin!! He was our realtor and he was amazing in helping us find our forever home in Lindale Texas. He is easy going, flexible, hard worker and knowledgeable in his field.

I have lived in Tyler for 3 years. I think there are some beautiful things to see here and there are some things that are not so beautiful. The Rose Garden is a wonderful, peaceful and beautiful place. I recommend everyone go there for the magnificent roses and the great work with native and unusual flowers and things in the Idea Garden done by the Master Gardeners. I live on a busy street near the zoo and I pick up trash EVERY, SINGLE day that local people throw out the window of their cars on my front lawn. Everything from Whataburger wrappers to beer bottles and cans, to cigarette packs, empty cups, plastic Dollar General bags, receipts and candy packages. It is very disgusting the way people here have no pride in their neighborhood. Many of my neighbors have trash piled up on their lawns.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I understand there's a lack of nightlife in the area, and it can be difficult for students and visitors to find places to socialize and have fun. It would be great to have more options for people to gather and enjoy their time. On the other hand, traffic can be challenging, especially during peak hours, and it can take longer to reach specific destinations. Regarding the Mexican food, I agree that there are some excellent options in the area. Thank you for the video, and I appreciate your suggestion about using a lav mic for better audio quality next time.
