That’s beautiful man! Do you have a record of the temperatures in different parts of the stove? How hot is the top surface? How hot is the bottom of the chimney? The from glass? This super cool baking chamber? Tnx!
@PYROFLOWROCKETSTOVESАй бұрын
@MeironEgger hi and ta mate. Yeah na no record that was just a prototype slapped together. It was like a slow roaster .I am yet to release a video with my latest prototype oven design, it's summer here in nz and going out sailing seems to be taking priority lol.
@MeironEggerАй бұрын
1. Assuming it’s a one shot video, it seems like within less than 3 minutes there’s smoke is gone. Is it? It’s pretty amazing! 2. Do you have any scientific source that explains why the angular design creates (or increases) this vortex effect?
@PYROFLOWROCKETSTOVESАй бұрын
@MeironEgger its a one shot wonder, i recorded that like a day after newyears two years ago. I think I was still high from the music festival. That's right the smoke only takes a few minutes to run clear. More so with those wood pellets anyway. My latest stove runs on standard wood and takes around ten minutes to get up to temperature before running clear. Your question regarding the vortex spin ,I don't have many answers there. I find it mesmerizing and head scratching.
@PYROFLOWROCKETSTOVESАй бұрын
I remember watching this video below, and then I became intrigued by how a change in shape can course the fire to start to twist. I just love triangles and pyramids etc so I thought I'd experiment with shapes to guide the rocket flow . kzbin.info/www/bejne/joaUe5psrNOtfZIsi=w328sqyadREgewRX
@MeironEggerАй бұрын
I’ll take a look at the video you linked… Thanks for the answers. Mesmerising indeed !!!! I still haven’t built my stove, but was wandering how to shorten the time it takes for the smoke to clear: Given the the combustion chamber temperature is what affects how fast it gets to full burning efficiency (e.g. clear smoke)… what if instead of using the torch on the fuel source (wood / pellets) you’d just take 30-60 seconds to heat the whole surface top and bottom, and then, when you fire the pellets/wood up, the combustion chamber is already hot (at least half way, if not fully). Do you think it can significantly decrease the time to get the smoke clear?

Why is the oven open on one end? How hot does the oven get?
@PYROFLOWROCKETSTOVES2 ай бұрын
@thehazelnutspread that's just the first prototype I made in a rush two years ago. I am currently working on a new design, buts it's taking longer because I had to redesign the whole rocket stove to run on normal fire wood due to the cost of wood pellets doubling here in nz. Amazing that the stove could still roast food even with open ends lol

Hi, I am living in south of France, I love this stove you designed. Very nice, economical, practical, artistic... With the afterburner... Love it The only thing that I dont like is the square glasse on the sloped steel, but I am guessing it's only temporary on this build. I would like to build my own inspired from yours. What is the thickness of the top plate on your stove ? I plan to try with 5mm but I am not sure if it's enough. Thank you

Plans ?
@PYROFLOWROCKETSTOVES3 ай бұрын
@Princess_n_TheDuke I will make plans available when it is safer. I still have one design flaw to work out before I start selling the stove or plans. This design can currently get what's called reverse chimney. Two things can cause smoke to travel up the fire box . Gusty winds blocking the fire draw and cavities in the fire box when wood doesn't drop properly into the fire basket . I have designs ready to test,but these things take longer than I like
@sudhirnaik47514 ай бұрын
I have designed and built something similar before using tubing and sheet, I'm trying to make one out of stainless, that packs away. Weight is the problem and tight fitting edges 🙏 I think your idea is genius, I love a sound system also, and have built a motorhome. Wow, what a place you have!!

Thankyou I to would love to make a lighter camping or survival model. I haven't had much luck with that. The top plate is the 1st to start warping and twisting under the heat. I tried to go down to 4 mm steel even that buckled. Thanks for watching

your stove / oven design is excellent . I have made a cast refractory woodburner with afterburn chamber .. and a couple of chambers with heating pipes / tubing The upper chamber would have been better to be used as an oven . The 80 mm thick refractory construction is excellent for holding the temperature for 24 hour heating.

I am serious. How much is one of your stoves?
@PYROFLOWROCKETSTOVES6 ай бұрын
@teddypearce1716 it's hard to say at this point. I'm still fine tuning them. This stove I'm this video has been put together and apart again multiple times its hard to get a grasp on pricing as costs are continuallyincreasingfor everything. I have been recently working on this one, putting in an ash dispenser and modification of the hopper and ash grate. The price of wood pellets has almost doubled in the last year, so I have been working hard, creating a multi fuel stove. As much as I would love to sell stoves its a slow moving process on my budget

Great looking stove, would it be possible to make the sides of the triangular burn chamber out of glass so that the flame could be seen from the side as well?
@PYROFLOWROCKETSTOVES6 ай бұрын
@davewilliams6172 that would look real cool, yeah sure it would be the only downside would be more glass to clean. This stove is just sitting about .unfortunately the price of wood pellets has almost doubled here in newzealand, even though they are made locally. This beast uses twice the amount than my other stoves, so yeah it will be sitting around for a while to come.
