People here lose their minds when they see clear cuts. They have no idea it all gets burned and replanted. There was a few protest groups that were embarrassed out of town for their ignorance. lol. That concrete and creek looks like unkept estate grounds.

"Some rich men came and raped the land, nobody caught 'em, put up a bunch of ugly boxes, and Jesus, people bought 'em." (From the Eagles - Last Resort) Yep, we're the only animals who tend to destroy paradise and the environment. It's amazing, though, when left alone, how nature can heal itself. 👍

Beautiful place Tasmania is. I've always hated when loggers decimate the forests by clear cutting. When I lived in California, there were magnificent trees. Redwoods, Sequoias, bristlecone pines some up to 4500 yrs old. On my trip to Calif. last Sept. on my bike I went through Redwood State park and was amazed at how tall they were. Of all the states I've been to, Oregon and Calif. can't be matched. Luckily Canada supplies a lot of lumber for this crazy building boom. I live in Idaho now, but the trees pale in comparison. Anyways thanks for the nice video.
@hachewie19 сағат бұрын
Most of the ancient forest here is long gone. I think there may be some untouched places down the south-west. Most was cleared in the 1800's.
