If each acid and each alcohol is 1M, shouldn’t the diacid and diol be 2M? Because 1M per acid or alcohol group that should make the diacid and diol 2M. No?

You define kinetic chain length as an average. In other words how long in average is the chain of the products of polymerization. But why then you turn this ratio into a ratio of rates? It seems to me that is like comparing instantaneous speed with average speed.

The bottom polymer was made from an A-A/B-B type polymerization. I misspoke in the video!!
