Thank you for sharing this! Did you use Ae to edit this? Could you use Stop Motion to put it altogether?
@noonglow4 күн бұрын
I used Final Cut to put the frames together, but any other editing program will work fine. My latest video is a more detailed tutorial, where I also show how I combine the frames into the final animation. Hope you find it helpful! 😊
@EposVox12 күн бұрын
When exporting still frames in a NLE (like Final Cut/iMovie) you can simply set the project framerate to 12FPS to then only have to "edit on 2s" and not try to animate every frame in the video, without losing quality like with the screenshot method.

Hi this video was soo helpful! What kind of paper do you use in most cases that’s affordable?

I'm so happy to hear that! Right now I'm experimenting a lot with different kinds of paper, but during my first year working on mixed media animations, I only used regular printer paper (the cheapest I could find) and it worked really well!

to make a video that long how many pieces of paper do you need if you have four frames on each paper ?
@noonglow21 күн бұрын
it also depends on the number of frames per second, if you decide your animation will be 10fps, then for every second of video, there will be 10 frames (which is two and a half sheets of paper)

What's the difference between stop motion and mixed media animation?
@noonglow4 ай бұрын
Stop motion is an animation technique where objects (here paper) are physically manipulated between individually photographed frames, while mixed media refers to the use of different artistic materials to manipulate those objects.

@noonglow5 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! I have no patience at all, so I thought animations would be the last thing I should be doing 😁 but I tried it and it turned out to be a lot of fun! I don't scan each frame individually, I scan each sheet (I usually put 4-6 frames on one sheet).
