One thing you can do to add custom pose characters in your thumbnail is New NPC mod. With this mod you can add NPC and change their arms etc according to your liking making it all vanilla

What is the resource pack

I don't like "it only looks good with the pack" it likely only looks bad because it was designed with texture pack colors, which are distinctly different from normal mc colors usually, in mind. Same concept applies to texture.

For us fellow poor people, I recommend Photopea as a free alternative. It's browser based, and it's about a complete carbon copy of photoshop.

Well… the pack does make things look 10x better that’s why they use it in the trailers. If they didn’t it wouldn’t sell as much 😂 For real tho I’m envious of you. You’re a humble builder who builds humbly. And that’s a compliment. I get so caught up in huge details to the point where I never finish any of my builds because I get so ahead of myself. You are right when you say it’s personal preference. To you this pack is now default Minecraft. Roll with it and have fun bro
