Love how they dropped the pitch lower for this rendition of the overworld theme and just about every other rendition since actually followed suit. Sugiyama was an amazing composer for sure. I can separate the art from the artist in this case because the art he created was indeed beautiful.

My son asked me who the best villains of gaming history are. I told him about Kefka, Sephiroth, I told him about all the Lucavi in Tactics. But I ended the list with all 4 Sinistrals. These guys need a remaster and this whole game needs the works. Amon was always my favorite, but Gades was FEARSOME. Especially if you push yourself in that first encounter. And I never lose against him first try.
