The Physics is certainly a concern. But if you were going to bet against anyone, it wouldn't be a Kunos in-house engine. ACC FFB maybe didn't hit it out the park (for me). Modding may be less of an issue, if they launch with much of the functionality that modded AC has. I don't care so much about model rips, No Hesi, etc. So long as there is a well curated and not overly monetised workshop I'll be pretty happy. But ultimately, nothing will kill AC1, it's been abandonware for years and it runs on private servers, Kunos are not going to stop selling it. There is nothing to worry about.

This is why we insist people start in the lower power class kart. Beginning with a 35HP X30 or Senior Rotax is a disaster. Starting with a 9 hp LO206 is the best way to learn. When you start with the lower power kart, you can push the limit much harder and you will learn kart control much better. Going off track in a 206 at 40MPH is less violent than going off track in an X30 at 70mph. In the low-power class, you learn more about momentum driving and the benefits of a better line, corner exit, keeping speed up through the corner, etc. Once you have learned these you can understand the higher power class with a solid foundation of good kart control. I have seen too many drivers start with a powerful kart and their progress is stunted! Often they give up thinking they are not skilled drivers.

Agree. There are bunch rather small issues, seemingly, that halts the sim big time. I am still enjoying it a ton, because I am doing physics for my own, by now I have collected plenty of epic cars, and I probably have bunch of most enjoyable historic cars content in rF2... well at least in my mind lol rF2 community though seems to prefer badly made stuff. As a historic cars guy, I would add proper clutch simulation lacking in rF2 as one of bigger issues that was never solved. I think another issue, big issue, is that gJed was abandoned. If it was developed properly, rF2 probably would be getting 10x more mods, maybe 50x more. I'll never delete it. I don't see any other sim replacing it in next 20 years. I think simulation world will be stuck on AC1 physics level and iRacing pay service for years to come. There is a solid chance though that after development of LMU, rF2 development might get restored.

alot of roblox games arent made for 9 year olds but that doesnt mean that most arent.

im making a driving game in roblox and trying to make the handling somewhat of a blend between arcadey and sim lol

I've realized over the last couple of years that, once you find a niche of people dedicated to their project, roblox can have gameplay that will rival any triple A game out there. I've been playing deadline, a hardcore tactical shooter/ gun builder recently, and it's genuinely some of the best gunplay I've experienced.

Ac has its own engine, acc is made in Unreal that's why it had so many early issues with Physics so they learned

Woohoo KZbin suggested a video of someone playing the game I work on, there's actually a lot more going on behind the scenes of both games. Now I say "a lot" but in truth Project Trackday is ran by just about 3 people (or at least one being consistent, in truth there's about 10 or less people who work on things)

its actually pretty hard to find good games on roblox without doing some research, theres a lot of other better sim races but you cant really find them just by using the search bar, great video though

project trackday is actually so awesome

sim racing in roblox has never been up to par for the simple reason of roblox not being made for sim racing. Visual lag causes the cars to appear in different places and that makes it impossible to run collisions in advanced chassis. fortunately the community is trying to come up with solutions but untill then that's what's going to hold the scene down

There's a game with amazing physics called Quartz chassis testing, but it's not gamified sadly. One track and a huge grid map which is half empty. Still i love that game for the drifting and tire physics.

Midnight rcing tokyo has the best car physics on roblox. its ntoa sim game, its a game bassed of tokyo and has mostly jdm cars. It has nice graphics (make sure to put it on max if u wanna see the best results), and its also a pretty competetive game. They recently added their 1.5 chassis update, not all cars has 1.5 yet so make sure to ask the players what cars that have 1.5 and try to get some cash for a better car or one car that has 1.5. theres also a couple of codes you can use to get a good amount of cash like Challenge, 100million, and secretcode.
