Despite it's simplicity, I wouldn't trust the "diffusion triangle" image for accurate comparison, since it is just a clever way to describe filters for marketing purposes--to make the multi-dimensional filter effects simple to understand and categorize. It is not based on any determinative testing, and as seen in my own testing and several full range filter tests online, it is not a particularly accurate or nuanced tool for comparing specific filters and their effects. I love Tiffen's filters, but their showcase of each filter is very lacking. Tiffen tried borrowing the physical mechanics of "the exposure triangle" concept to explain 3 filter effects which are not exclusionary effects--so not only does it not make sense, but the placement of the different filters on the triangle are not accurate. I understand how useful it is in simplifying the concept of filter effects for consumers, so I don't hate the thing, but It is rather annoying when people reference it as if it is actually making claims based off of measured comparisons. It's simply a subjective categorization tool for marketing, not a real chart describing the effects of the filters. I'd love the thing if it were actually accurate, but as it stands it seems more harmful then helpful to reference if you're seeking specific comparisons.

Need a newer iPhone, but smallrig is the way to go. Get a cage, buy the magnetic filters.

Actually the Zephyr has a 23 pound payload and the A30 sled & Axis sled share the same 20 pound (9KG). Surprised Tiffen won't allow you to purchase sled only?! You can always buy a Betz wave to correct horizon levels instead of the vault for the Zephyr.

Aero 30 owner here. I hope Tiffen offers to sell the sled by itself. I'd hate to buy another A30 arm and vest. I'd pay a premium for the sled only.

@@theunderstory I contacted them... so far, they want us to purchase everything. That does not make sense. Why would I need another vest, another arm when in reality I only want the sled.

@techwitheds I remember back in 2012 when the original Zephyr was released, you could NOT buy the sled alone. But many years later, Tiffen allowed you to buy the Zephyr sled alone. I got a quote back in 2019. I think Axis sled will be available alone in a few years sadly. 🤔
