is there a way to change the way that the App is titled on the IOS device? I.e. mine says Loop_INITALS how can I make it just say "Loop" like an Xcode build?
@carolvachon48Ай бұрын
It should show up in testflight as whatever you name it in App Store Connect, but the app itself should show Loop with a small yellow dot next to it (the yellow dot just means that it was a testflight build)

hello, in our community we are struggling to build/rebuild the app with browser. we all get the message "FastLane 2.222.0 is available. you are on 2.221.1 you should use the latest version" can you help with that?

Hi There, I use DIY LOOP. Now a few days ago my app expired, i have to rebuild every 3 months. I got a error: Unable to create a valid authorization token for the App Store Connect API. Verify that the FASTLANE_ISSUER_ID, FASTLANE_KEY_ID, and FASTLANE_KEY secrets are set correctly and try again. Now i checked the forum and i saw it has to do something with Apple Developer. So i figured out my credit card was expired. I changed it to an up to date credit card. But i'm still getting the same error. Does anyone have an idea what's going wrong? Thanks!! Grtz Lisanne

I'm new to the scene, but I'm highly technical and try to take it all in. I just found Nightscout Reporter earlier in the day, so I was sorry to hear Gary wasn't familiar with it when this session was recorded. Boy, he wasn't kidding when he said this group was deeply involved in [your] own care! I'm very impressed with what I've seen so far, and I can't wait to make my way through the video library.

I am trying to create a backup loop for my child. Both phones (main and backup) have my apple id. I have a different loop running on her main phone and am trying to set up the new version on the backup phone. You state that could have unintended issues. What unintended issues could it cause?
@dsut43934 ай бұрын
Generally it's good practice to have a backup, but these are the potential unintended issues if you actually set up the app fully: 1) If both phones are logged in with the same apple ID, if you save any BG data to Apple Health on your phone that will be picked up by Loop running on the other phone. Same for carbs if you have Loop enabled to read carbs (default is not to enable this). 2) If you import settings from Nightscout during onboarding (the easiest way to set it up), and add the Nightscout service, this could set your phone to be the one targeted by APNs for remote actions, breaking remote carbs/bolus/overrides. As long as you don't add the Nightscout service this shouldn't happen. Dylan (LnL Facebook Group moderator)

Just tried building, originally failed because of an agreement I needed to update with apple but then I fixed that. now it says the build failed "Process completed with exit code 1." and "No files were found with the provided path: artifacts buildlog. No artifacts will be uploaded." Does anyone know what this means? Maybe I have to wait longer for the updated apple agreement? Thanks for all the support!

The Apple dev agreement can take up to 1 hour to "process". If you share your GitHub username, I can take a look at your public build logs to see your exact error because sometimes the error messages are not helpful

Great Video and instructions Mike. Thanks for putting together. One comment on the identifiers though, I noticed the NFC radio box needs to be checked on all 4. One question I have, the end of the video you recommend turning off automatic updates. Is that still the case for 3.4?
@dsut43935 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. This video was made before the Loop 3.4 update that added Libre 2 (European) sensor support to Loop - it's Libre that requires NFC to be enabled (even if you're not using Libre, leave this capability ticked or your app won't build). Hopefully we'll be able to get the video updated soon. Regarding turning off automatic updates for Loop in TestFlight, that is even more the recommendation now than it was before Loop 3.4. Once you update to 3.4, GitHub Actions will automatically run to build Loop once a month, plus every time the upstream Loop repository is updated. If you leave automatic updates on in TestFlight, this means that you could potentially install an update without being aware of a change in behaviour of the app. It's fairly unlikely because Loop releases are typically very well controlled, and there would almost certainly be safeguards put in place top prevent automatic builds if there was any change in functionality, but it's still best practice for you to retain control of which updates you choose to install. There is not much to say about iLet. Feedback from Loopers who have tried iLet has not been very positive for getting results that compare.

Until dual hormone solutions become commercially available, ‘low user effort’ AiD algorithms will have to be conservative to avoid lows, and it’s not going to be something the looping demographic would be very interested. Moreover, ilet is almost completely a ‘black box’, there’s just not that much to talk about!

This is why the “it learns you” myth is still alive (the current AI craze has not helped). From the Omnipod website: “Adapted to you. Omnipod 5 adapts with every Pod change to meet your unique insulin needs and adjusts insulin using a customized Target Glucose, not a range.)” It doesn’t say it but it kinda hints at learning.
@ehudyerushalmi49986 ай бұрын
As far as I remember, Omnipod 5 does not give any SMB and adjusts the basal rate only. If so, doesn't it mean that it can't handle highs as well as LOOP?
@tinahammer78706 ай бұрын
Omnipod 5 (O5) does deliver insulin to slow/turn/correct a rise or high blood glucose. It does not rely on carb inputs, so adding carbs w/o bolusing for them is not going to benefit the user as it does with Loop and other carb-centric algorithms. Insulet (and we) recommend bolusing for food and as needed for BG increases, both for the short term (to turn BG around) and for the longer term (to raise TDI so that O5 adapts basal to be stronger), if the user is grappling with highs. In my experience, we would often saw a steady rise, a "mountain top", and a sudden turn down, after repeated "autoboluses" (if you want to use Loop terminology), with a nice landing. Additionally, you do need to bolus for fat and protein to get the best results- just as with Loop. The differenece is that you can give Loop a "heads up" carb entry (and you can pre-enter that), whereas with O5, you just bolus for it when you see the rise starting, or let O5 do it for you (which will result in a high, but with good settings, it will be short-lived).

A lot of the questions posed during this session highlight a lack of understanding/confidence with the “basics” of optimizing ISF, CR, basal, etc… To help improve the baseline knowledge users have so they can make the most of more advanced sessions like this. The use of jargon, misspeaking strengthen vs weaken when describing changes to settings all lead to more confusion if the audience doesn’t have the baseline knowledge required. Please set up a session or two where you guys go over the basics: how to adjust CR, ISF, and basal safely and how to know which settings need to be adjusted so that the user can arrive at their optimized settings on their own. That would be a BIG help, I think.
