Titanium nut would take some rotating weight off and look super cool plus more resistant to salt water. Why don't they use them?

For the few hours they are in the water corrosion is a non factor. Also they are nyloc nuts, as such are not reusable. Likewise saving 10grams on a nut is a non factor given the drive shaft probably weighs at least 200lbs.

That's a great demonstration of a great boat in action. You can't do that with a catamaran. It just can't handle the rough water at all.

This water clearly shows the great disadvantage of owning a catamaran it nearly submerge itself, and the water is rough, but it's not brutal. Get a V hull boat and you'll have none of these problems
