Thanks for the video. I’m contemplating one of these myself. Did you hand unload?
@P3rmissionD3ni3d Жыл бұрын
Oof. I guess this is more of a entertainment video versus a how to. Yours doesn’t gel because of the pectin your using. It calls for a crazy amount of sugar. 7 cups of sugar per two pints of fruit or something like that. I usually get the lower pectin type OR cook the fruit down and just let it gel how much ever it wants to OR you can also use plain jello powder. PSA. Even if you use a splatter screen with mango it gets everywhere while cooking down. I also had to put a paper towel over the splatter screen. Took some elbow grease to de mango the oven, wall, and surrounding area 😢

This woman is definitely not a pro canner. She doesn't sterilize correctly, the lids should be in an individual sauce pan on a low heat after boiling to sterilize. She uses her canning equipment wrong. She did not use a knife or something to remove any bubbles from the jar before putting the tops on. Yes you have to measure to get a consistant product and for it to set properly. There are tricks of the trade that she does not have a clue about. Sorry but learn more before making a how to video.

Your jam looks beautiful! If you would take the time to measure you would know exactly how much sugar and lemon juice to use to get it to set. I also use pectin sometimes but I measure so I know how much to use. God Bless

You are holding your jar holder backwards or upside down whatever you want to call it you're supposed to be using the black part to hold onto and the rubber part that is designed to go around the jar on the jar and put them in the water so I really don't know who taught you how to can

You video inspired me to make some mango jam since my sister gave me some. It's mango season here in Hawaii so I'm going to take advantage and make some mango bread too!
@golamfaruque17964 жыл бұрын
Try ultra high density planting where plants are 7-8 feet and the rows are 9-10 feet apart. Height of the trees should be kept at 7-8 feet level So that the trees are better managed.Glenn mango is a very mediocre or an ok mango. It is not very sweet as you mentioned. It's flavor is very mild. There is no spiciness and complexity of flavors in it. It's little better than supermarket mangos imported from Mexico to me. There are tons of better flavor profile mangos out there now a days. The other big mango you've in your property is probably Lancetilla originated in Honduras.
