Beautiful! I just love this music. And to think that I had the honor of you teaching my son guitar about 12 or 13 years ago at George’s.(I use my middle name here) He and my husband have two albums, and I’ll post the link to one here for you . Remember Jonathan T.? kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4Ouhn6Qi9qqbdEsi=K0SXkh8FAwHd9R-d

Is there a difference between the steel guitar and nylon guitar versions of this song? I actually like the nylon version more but I don't have a nylon string guitar yet. If I get the tab for the nylon string version is it the same as the steel guitar? Also reeeally would love to know how to achieve a similar ambient effect like that. It's just perfect for that song!
@TrevorGordonHall15 күн бұрын
Thanks so much! This is a multilayered reverb effect as well as some background synth sounds. Live I just use a combo of reverbs to get that big sound. The steel string version is only slightly different than the nylon version. I only have a proper recording of the nylon string version as the steel string version was just a video a few years ago. I would recommend the nylon string version and just play in steel string!!

♡Simplicity♡Elegance 🩵Thank you Trevor for this musical journey: a sense of calm, reflection, and a bit of light through the cracks. 🩵 Michael Hedges: My new release 'the Road to Return' is best described by the symbol · “an expansive, inward journey” 🕊 To me, the concept of Road to Return was returning to your true self or personal self. That’s what all religions talk about too-finding that God self or finding God within you. That’s what the Road to Return means. You see, I don’t like to preach. I like to work in symbols. That’s my way. That’s why I am just as much an instrumentalist as I am a vocalist. I like to say things without words. My songs on Road to Return, of course, have words and are descriptive, but they’re kind of symbolic too in that the symbols form that meaning which I can’t really express. So, the Road to Return is a symbol for inner expansion. The lyrics in the song “Road to Return” say “The more reflection, the more I see.” So, Road to Return could also mean looking back, not in a nostalgic way, but perhaps in a reflective way. ⚜Pope Benedict XVI likened stained glass windows to our faith . . . “From the outside, those windows are dark, heavy, and even dreary. But once one enters the church, they suddenly come alive; reflecting the light passing through them, they reveal all their splendor. . . It is only from the inside, from the experience of faith and ecclesial life, that we see the Church as she truly is: flooded with grace, resplendent in beauty, adorned by the manifold gifts of the Spirit. It follows that we, who live the life of grace within the Church’s communion, are called to draw all people into this mystery of light.”
