Another fun Table Talk! I have favorite colors for different things, like clothes, home decor, cars, etc. I enjoy quilting with all colors except purple. I don’t dislike purple, I just won’t choose it for a quilting project. I don’t mind cross stitching with it as long as it’s not the predominant color.

Blue/green. Most of my quilts are these 2 colors, and I'm drawn to them when I cross stitch as well. I'm really working hard to incorporate more colors and a variety of patterns.

My favorite color has always been purple but ive always loved blue as well. Now that I'm older I honestly love all the colors! So many fun projects! I was in last night for some gift making and might have to come back very soon!

If you decide to do a retreat, be it cross stitch or quilting, I’d love to help you plan it! I could be in charge of the games and prizes and the food and whatever! You could plan the project(s) or if it is a do whatever you want retreat! I am just in Davis County, so not too far away!

I love red and purple. Purple doesn’t look as good on me, but I like it for quilts! And for red, I like a deeper more saturated red, rather than a bright red!

Aqua, lt blue, soft green. They are very calming. I also love the colors of fall and Halloween.

I sew every genre of fabric from 1930’s to Civil War and everything else. If it exists I pretty much want it. But for ginghams I’m drawn towards the black. It seems to go with so many holidays.

I adore anything RED! It works great for all the holidays, from Valentine’s Day through Christmas and everything in between! Those ginghams are super cute and would be great for stash enhancement purposes! ;)

Well, I hate to say it, but purple IS my favorite color 🤭😂 But I actually really love all the colors. The older I'm getting, the more I love them all, so don't I don't know if I can say that purple is my favorite, but it's at the top of the list. I have never really like green, but the last couple of years, green is becoming one of my favorites too. They're just all so beautiful! What would our world be without all the colors, pretty boring!

I have been to my quilt quilts retreats and like when we can work on our own projects. I was also at StitchWest, and this was my first cross stitch retreat. My roommate, Deb and I made the trip to Pine Needles by way of Trax, thank you for letting us know how easy it was to go to the shop. We had a wonderful afternoon. It was very nice to meet you. I attend 4-5 quilt retreats each year-So Fun! Interested in attending a cross stitch retreat. Yes would love to attend your quilt retreat or quilt/cross stitch combo. its a girls long weekend which is always fun inspiration.

I’ve been to all but one of the Stitch West retreats. And I’ve flown to several other states for stitching retreats as well. I love them! But I also love quilting retreats and have been going to those for 20 years. I agree with you guys in that I would skip the more organized classes and just go for the open sew or open stitching time. It was so great seeing you Sandra at Stitch West. I miss not being able to just pop into your shop. Indiana is too far away from so many of my quilting friends.

I haven’t attended a retreat but would love a cross stitch or a quilt retreat doing your own projects like you mentioned. Do you have info on the new monthly cross stitch club?
