Another thing to watch out for around rock pools mainly down where you are & south of there from memory are blue ring octopus’s… they are very small & can be deadly so keep an eye on the kids!

With your families obvious love of waterfalls its a real pity you didn't visit Wallaman Falls while you were in Queensland. Australia's highest single drop permanent waterfall at 268m (879ft) and only 51km inland from Ingham.

Welcome to Australia's East coast. You guys say you are exploring the east coast but only seem to be doing the northern coastline (QLD)! Ok, so I know you been to Sydney, but you have to explore south - ALL of NSW. The southern coastline is FAR better than QLD - albeit a little cooler. It is often beset with stunning weather and clean clear water which is more than I can say for QLD. If you want some tips on where to go and explore, reply, for the list is LONG....But don't make the colossal mistake of thinking QLD is better than NSW before trying out the places on my list.

Thank you! We dont get to explore all of NSW but we get to explore some really cool spots!

Yeah its probably because its a more searched topic so thats why people do those videos! We are hitting a lot of smaller towns that probably don't get the hype but are well worth it!

As a born Aussie I couldn't be prouder of my country, which is practically the same size as the US but millions less people. Unfortunately, love took me from Australia and I now reside in Switzerland; even though Switzerland is a beautiful country, the Swiss are far from being friendly, not like Australia, where the song goes; I AM, YOU ARE, WE ARE AUSTRALIAN. I understand when Americans come to Australia and do not want to leave, I wouldn't want to live in the US, where every fool can have a gun and with luck, you too can be shot by brainless fools who believe that a gun gives them the right to kill others. I was a huge America lover in the 70's and wanted nothing more than to marry an American, but as fate wanted it, I never got to live in the US and maybe thats for the best, as everythig happens for a reason!

I live on the Sunshine Coast and love Noosa too but yes unfortunately during the schools holidays it's always way too busy. The national park is gorgeous. Gympie Terrace in Noosaville, along the river, is a great spot for families too. Hope you also get to see the Sunshine Coast hinterlands such as Montville, Mary Cairncross and Maleny. Beautiful spots too. Kenilworth is cool too. Best donuts there.

Out of all your videos, this is my favourite by far! I have a video of my son and his younger sister running along the sand, hand in hand when they where young. I particularly loved it when you said "Don't wait. Right now is the best time." When I was a barrister, many solicitors asked my advice about making the leap from one to the other. I always told them don't wait for the right time, as it will never come. Just do it and make it the right time. I think this is why I feel a connection with your journey. I had no legal connections but, after law school, I went immediately to the bar - which I was told was impossible. I'm now retired after a very successful career. Never listen to the naysayers!

Yep Byron was fantastic in the early 80's it was like a village. By the 90's it had started to become to promoted as a place to be seen. Think the turning point was Strop buying the pub and then Paul Hogan building near Byron, so it was getting recognition. Used to be able to catch a train from Casino and Lismore to Byron to go surfing. Train line was closed years ago but the public were told a manipulated half truth of maintenance costs.

I use to surf and camp down there at Byron 50yrs ago you camp on the Beaches with out getting in trouble at Wategos Beach every weekend ... Was no paid Parking the Place is full of Brazilians and Portugal thats why its called little Brazil now..lol..If you were there 50yrs ago you would say the same its lost its appeal ..Alot off the Yuppies from Brisbane have bought houses and built new ones they they dont want people around and try and change the Place ..50yrs ago it was awesome Place was mainly Aussies but its very Multi Culture now place has changed alot still a great place to visit but 100% not like it was 50yrs ago..As Australia has become very Multicultural so has Byron and its become a real tourist spot for people over seas ...50years ago you hardly seen a Tourist from overseas and the houses were older Beach houses ..But change has happened every where its the cycle of life just like the Gold Coast still great places to visit just has new Vibes about it..
