More context: Madonna IS the reason the media have pit her and Mariah against each other: case in point: NME interview in 1995: “I’ve never heard either of them (Whitney or Mariah) say anything horrible about me. Mariah’s “7th grade” comment was in 1996 AFTER Madonna said the above. I love Madonna’s music too and I even agree with some of what she is saying but some of these things are unnecessarily rude.
