It is surprising how bright it is inside, given how few windows there are. Also the design of the roof is very ingenious. I am also surprised to see how such a large door can incorporate such a large pane of insulated glass while having a relatively thin frame. Perhaps the fact that the weight is centered on central pivot is the key to this design. I'm curious to know how the stone wall was insulated and whether the constructed wall is a double-stud design that leaves an air gap in between the stone and insulation.

Im so happy you posted these on KZbin! Thank you. This was one of my favorite homes on the series however my absolute favorite was the Tucson mountain retreat home from that series, stunning! would love to see that one on your channel!!

Umm..there is hardly architecture "at a minimum" in that structure. Yes, it is contemporary, yes it's beautiful, yes it is meticulously planned, but...there is nothing "minimum" about it. LOL.

I would be very interested how they managed to insulate this house. From my point of view is ugly as hell with all those asymmetrical things and the minimalist style that looks like an asylum than a house. More like communist block from 70's. Maybe next time you'll bring more details about the construction besides design which all can see and appreciate.

The 14th century building is totally superb and really showcases Architectural design at its highest form. So much better than any Bijou Aircraft hanger just built for two.

Black house is the usual Bijou aircraft hanger just built for two waste of space and money. Vex is imaginative and fits the area wonderfully so for me that is the winner.
