This is by far the best video I’ve seen for an Indian scout air filter replacement. I feel it’s unnecessarily complicated but I’m no engineer so I digress. As someone who’s mechanically incompetent these streamlined detailed videos are what I really need lol. Thank you sir

The Pet Carrier is made with 1/4" thick ABS plastic. I use a computerized laser to make all the cuts and then I heat bend portions. The bottom is from a trunk (I remove the lid).

i just got the stock wind shield at 14.3 inch, if i get the same height from freedom shields will the buffeting be the same or does it push the air higher?

I bring my 50 lb shepherd in an open carrier I made that fastens to my TU250x. She's tethered for security plus it keeps her weight from shifting side to side. Works well.. she LOVES MC rides! goes nuts whenever I start the bike. I take her whenever I go hiking. People might not notice a MC, but a MC with a dog.. they absolutely do. 😃

The handlebar grip looks kind of neat. However, putting the sleeves on your clutch and front brake levers seems like an all-around terrible idea, and it doesn't even look any good. The sleeves will just slide all over the place and keep you from getting a firm grasp on the levers that you really need to have full control of. Even if I liked the look of them--which I don't--I really wouldn't want to put them there.

Just get some matte black spray paint if you're worried about it. Make sure to clean out the screw holes before it dries.

So I had to replace my front header and my rear header/manifold pipe because a car hit me, I didn't have to remove my heat shields on either, as a matter of fact the new parts come with the heat shields preinstalled with the non removable clamps on the rear header/manifold.

Pro tip: it helps to remove the 13mm bolt at the very end of the mufflers that holds them together and remove them one at a time.

you dont need to pry off the sticker on the new 2021 models though. just the two outside screws will get it off.

Could you recommend to me how to program the ECU on the bike after installing an intake like this one or other high flow intakes? What hardware do I need for the ECU programming and what other steps might be involved?

You can get a fuel controller. I have the Dobeck EJK and it works great out of the box for a bike with an intake and full exhaust.

@@fireinthewhole I got a Dynojet PV3. Hopefully this works for me. My bike has very little power and an odd rhythm while idling. It has Trask Slip-Ons and the Indian performance intake. The PV3 comes pre programmed with a map akin to my current setup.

@@zeroneutral Hmm, an odd rhythm and a large power deficit is likely not from a fuel tuning issue. I would check to make sure it is not misfiring from a bad plug, coil, or injector.

@@fireinthewhole I realize how my description sounds, but I don't think there are any physical problems with the engine aside from not getting enough power from the chemistry inside of the engine.

If this had a general operating permit, which is required for the German area, I would have ordered one directly, unfortunately I don't know how to get something like that. If anyone knows more about it, I'd appreciate any help and thank you in advance for the answers. Best regards from Germany
