Yes it is, you will either have to be lucky or use a minimap mod to see through ground, like xareos minimap

You’re losing so many levels by not taming them the normal way. I think that gigant claiming effectiveness is based on the amount of experience levels put into them, but I don’t think they can ever get to 100% claiming effectiveness. Once you got a pair of gigants I would have used their fertilized eggs to use for high level gigants you find For the record I’m pretty sure the 145+ babies you found would have been lv 215-225 if tamed the proper way. Singleplayer settings I guess you don’t need crazy high levels/mutations anyways though

Funny thing, when I fought Savage Acro I used gigas, carchas, and acros and only acros could survive that huge attack... Of course all my dinos were heavly mutated... Also brachios can help a lot.
