Is Pascal Coppens another of the seemingly endless army of 'useful idiots' from the West who are happy to ignore reality and bend over and spout lies for the brutal fascist communist gangsters who currently rule China in exchange for some trifling favours and bones thrown from their master's dining table?

No, you're wrong. The Qing only ruled Taiwan on paper, if that. The Qing had very little interest in Taiwan or in taking it over. During the so-called 200 years when the Qing ruled Taiwan it was people from Fujian who migrated to the island and settled there, with much intermixing and intermarriage with the native Taiwanese. The Wing only made a vague effort to take real administrative control of Taiwan in the 1880s but lost the island to the Japanese in 1895. The Japanese did more to make Taiwan a modern state in 50 years than China had done in 500 years (or whatever number you prefer) China wants Taiwan because China is a gigantic baby whose ego is so fragile it will do anything to make itself feel better regardless of the damage it does to others.

Taiwan is not part of China. The very idea is just stupid. Koxinga saying so makes not a shred of difference. The Qing saying so makes not a shred of difference. The RoC saying say makes not a shred of difference. The stupid communist bandits saying so does not make it so! Taiwan is not Chinese, even though the ROC invaded and colonised it in 1946. Anyway ownership is 99% of the law. The RoC invaders have it so in theory it's theirs. But in truth Taiwan belongs to the Aboriginal people who have lived there for over 10,000 years. You can't make Taiwan Chinese any more than you can make Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, or Manchuria Chinese. There is no question about this - TAIWAN IS NOT CHINESE AND NEVER WILL BE!!!

The Global North makes up only 12% of the world's population. Their negative view of that picture is of little consequence far as I'm concerned. I'm confident the other 88% has a favorable view of the picture. ❤❤❤❤🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳

Pascal we had the same in Belgium. Have you ever visited Serain when the steel production was in full swing. Then we had furnaces and coal mines all over. But all this proved to be expensive and we could cheaper buy Chinese or Indian steel. So we exported the production and the pollution went with it. They were pleased to get it and now the problem is theirs. But so far, we can not produce iron from ore at a reasonable cost without coal. We can desulfurize the exhaust but there is nothing we can do to the carbon dioxide.

I think this can and should be decided and arranged by the Chinese, both, among them. Both are not prepared or willing to settle it military. Provided the USA can keep itself out of it. Will they ?

Other than western countries nobody else wants to decouple from China cuz they want affordable products.... naah, west is not united, mostnof them are forced under U.S pressure and E.U industry is almost decimated in 2025, China aint dependent on U.S exports anymore more and more companies want to trade with China other than western politicians that dont know much about anything other than how great their democracy is and how bad any country or system that dont agree with them are. Power never resides in one region forever and now power is moving to south east asia and ASEAN, China, Russia are growing more and more and faster and faster. Gone are the days when west had monopoly over everything and got too comfortable and underestimated the rest of the world too much. To this very day they keep underestimating China and U.S is going towards collapse i mean look the size of U.S bubble economy

To convert ore to iron there is only one economic solution : coal burning furnaces. You could use hydrogen but that is not economic. So China exports steel to the whole world and we don't want the stinking plants any more. So by buying Chinese steel we export the emission. So don't blame China.

US government is controlled by the rich. Whichever parties elected by US citizens makes no difference as both parties only care for the interests of the rich and not the common people.

24:15-24:41 I certainly don't want their "democracy" here in America or as we call here in the US communism, it has no place here in America you understand that? I'm not even advocating for China to adopt our form of government, do I wish they never adopted communism in the first place? yeah but can't do anything about, not my place but again China's "democracy" aka communism is not welcomed here in the United States, I don't want it here neither do millions of other Americans despite how completely and utterly crap and garbage our government is right now I still believe in American/Western democracy you keep China's "democracy" away from America and we'll keep American democracy away from China

Western style democracies always ends with the rich controlling the politics and policies of those countries. Western democracies are a failed experiment with the masses voting for a leader picked by the 1%. The 99% essentially have no representation. The sunset of Western democracies is here. India has been burdened by Western style democracy and would benefit from totalitarian rule which would streamline every facet of life in India in order to guide the masses towards national goals without all the petty interests retarding progress. Without such changes India is doomed to slow growth for the foreseeable future. No chance to catch up with China. If India was smart it would settle the border issue with China immediately and let China help develop India. Settling the border dispute however might be a mountain to high for India to scale due to internal Indian politics.
