there was once supon a time a game made by fans, where you was red and it was all in 3d models, the map wasn't that big because it was just a test game, but i think that was the first pokemon in 3d that i see, and it was too good that it could have become an openworld game of pokemon, sadly i think that the devs just stop the project for don't get reported by Nintendo, idk, but that game was pretty good, and i just hoped that Pokemon sword and shield was an open world instead of something as what they give to us, i won't lie that i love the game, but i expect more when they show the wild area of galar

Its clear pokemon has outgrown the games, it sucks but nothing matters to them anymore. scarlet/violet, argueably my most hated entery in the series, very clearly sucks, fun but so disapointing. But the issue regarding it, is that this game shas sold more then the og red and blue, the game I hate the most is their largest bread winner. why would they stop, it seems like trash games make them the most money

Yeah, I loved gens 1-4. While I disliked B&W, I felt Unova was redeemed by B&W2. The last Pokémon game I played was X. I was so bored and disappointed that I didn't even finish the game. I haven't played a Pokémon game since, although I still look on the franchise fondly. Something major changed after Gen 4, and I'd love to learn what. New director, maybe?

way too hard take.. considering this was like mid step to full 3D world institute full step as people taught when it came out.

i think nostalgia plays a huge part. My first pokemon game was ultra sun (got a 3ds really late) and I went backwards playing gen 6 then 5 and then to gen 2 and then 3. However because I was a kid and I grew up playing Gens 7 and 6 (granted x and y were very easy and I always play using only region-unique pokemon) I still really enjoyed the games. That's why I finished both Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. To those who grew up with the earlier gens, to them it seems like the newer games are just bad. While yes, so much improvement can be done to the newer games, calling them bad compared to the old games is not good. Each game had introduced new mechanics (shinies, dark type, physical-special split, new evos, new types...). Pokemon has just been out too long that now it seems overdone and anything new that isn't a giant split away from the mainline games (like Legends Arceus) seems bad. Gens 3, 4 and 5 all had friendly rivals. Kalos had a spiderweb like map. Human experience just plays a huge part in hindsight.

I so hated it when the game forced you to "uncover" the "mystery" "hidden" in the wall paintings in Sword&Shield. It's like uhm-ing and ooh-ing at a stop sign, wondering what it could possibly mean. "Okay, this is how you catch a Pokémon..." - "Bitch, I've been catching Pokémon since before your granny was born." I have also developed an absolute hatred for the constant "You must really love your Pokémon!" bullshit. Scrap all that lovey-dovey crap, PLEASE! Just let me leave a wake of destruction and beaten Pokémon behind! Another annoying feature is the first few times when you use a favourable attack type. I don't want to see my opponent's stupid face going "Wow, you really know your typings!", I want to see the death of his Pokémon.

Imagine they are trying to intentionally ruin the games to kill off the franchise so they can move on

for me, personally, there's no sense of choosing your pokemon anymore. If you can access the Box anywhere, then you dont need to choose a team. And if the EXP share works on them all, all the time, then you don't need to choose who you are training and why. TMs being endlessly useable means you dont have to choose who gets taught what. I realised while watching your video, that you're right, the new games dont let you feel emotionally connected to the pokemon anymore. And for me, I think that's because you don't have to make choices anymore. There's no more "I Choose You".

The way they ruin Otacon is just sad as he falls over like an idiot in the sniper wolf death scene when getting her rifle which just goes to show how they ruined it also the blood at her mouth is too much

I low-key just want a local co-op multiplayer pokemon game where each player controls a different pokemon and to compensate, all the levels and AI are much harder. Literal dream game right there

As cool as this would be. You're literally talking about a company who had one great idea and has copy pasted the formula for 30 years. And its not just Pokemon but Mario. Zelda. Its the same game more or less with new mons and slightly different story.

The only Pokémon game I truly enjoyed in the last decade was Legends Arceus.

Release Pokémon Rainbow 🌈 A complete omnibus of all the games locations. One huge map. Every Pokémon. All NPCs. 1000+ hours of gameplay. I say this as I am on 600+ on Scarlet.

In order to make Pokemon sword and shield fun for me, I waited one year after the game came out. I did not watch any videos nor tutorials nor saw any pictures of any of the pokemon or evolutions in the meantime. Then I bought it, I played it blindly while hardcore nuzlocking it and did not dynamax. Because of this I found my experience to be fun and actually challenging because I didn't know what pokemon was good or not or what the evolutions were, but I tried this with Pokemon Scarlet and I did not even finish the game... so... yea... if they keep making the games too brain dead easy and not even fun to explore I can see myself not enjoying future games. Because even with sword and shield I had to go out of my way to do all these things to even find it fun. And don't even get me started with Sun and Moon... I did not enjoy that one at all.
