Been watching since the beginning. This series and those records Alex picked were no easy tasks. It was fun watching the 3 episodes featuring not only the producers who did AMAZING BEATS but the knowledge of the vinyl Alex was picking. Thank you for this series I think it’s up there with Mass Appeals if not better. I like how you focus on the producer community so many talented producers and I’m looking forward to who’s next!

Good video my guy! In this video the ASR has way better sonic separation on the drums. The MPC Live sounds a bit more muddy and lacks some mid range clarity. I would love to hear how each of them responds to low end content as well, like some 808s or deep moog basslines. Appreciate the content bro! God Bless

does the asr have input level control? I have the Eps which doesnt so id imagine its the same, Im curious as to what you set the mpc input at to mach the asr ?

I don’t believe it does. I just set the volume to come in at a good level (not peaking) on both

I’ve done it with the 2000 xl and the 4000. Haven’t with the live but I assume it’s the same process. I even made a video on the sync your asr 10 and 2000 xl if you’d like to see that process 🤙🏽

@@FaT_TrAk I tried it with the mpc live but for some weird reason, I’ll play the sample back on my asr-10 keys while its synced to it and the sample sound distorted in different tones. Idk why.

What’s the benefit of that technique I know Forat told me Dr Dre had five mpc synced for storage purposes and different sounds on each one. I think with the Mpc 2500, 4k & 2000 xl they have enough storage and I can sync to Vst’s triggered in pro tools or sound modules

Question man. So on my mpc 2500 for some reason it want let me edit my sample with my jog wheel. It will only allow me to edit with my faders. What do you think could be the issue? Ps I don’t have jjos

🤔 sounds like the wheel needs to be fixed or the sensor. I had to fix my sensor because it was skipping every few times I turned it. I went with. Bruce Forat a friend of mine to help me get all my buttons and wheel fixed. I hope that helps you bro. Or if your wheel turns it maybe the operating system 🤔 maybe see how to reset the akai back to normal.

Both! When Boon got his 1000 he got it showed me it I was on the XL at that time and then once I got the 2500 that same day I got it and used it ever since. JJOS is the best operating system 🤙🏽
