I'm pretty sure you're talking about true feinting. That's B on an xbox controller, or circle on PS. When you think they're going to dodge and attack, you can feint into nothing and then parry.

I've always thought it was cool that law's dodge shove didn't dodge as well as other dodge attacks. It felt like a reasonable drawback to him being an absolute tank of a hero. Now he's exactly the same as like 5 other heroes, and that sucks.

Did it look weirder from this pov or your pov?

I know this isn't fair, but I feel like everyone who's happy he's easy now weren't true lawbringer mains. A lot of "law mains" just like how he looks, and wanted him to play more like the heroes they're used to. Now his fighting style is the embodiment of "default". They may not have liked his playstyle, but I always did, and if I had my way they'd put him back exactly how he was in 2022.

(See if you kill lots, how far you defend yourself) Like you measure it by how it feels, kinda like cooking, if it taste like it need salt, add to taste. Forge yourself a blade not of the Bringer of Law but one that reflect upon your true self. This is a warriors path harden with trials and errors , Steel yourself for the summit awaits in For Honor

@maxmax9050 I've always had a soft spot for the pulse carbine, I've been running around calling it my favourite gun for a while. With that said, as someone who really tried to use it pre patch, it is "better" now, but not a weapon I would call good. It's got a nice fire and forget aspect to it, since you can let off two or three bursts and duck behind a corner to avoid return fire. There's a rumor that they changed it from 5 to 6 shots per burst, but I haven't really noticed a significant change in damage, and I never did a visual test to confirm the number of rounds before/after. It feels more consistent in the most recent version due to the changes in what I'd call magnetism, the rounds just track better, but still not good enough. Even if you aim it perfectly, at its optimal range, there's no way to guarantee a perfect kill with it. Since you have to lead and predict where your target will be at the time your shots connect, and a strafing enemy can always change direction in unexpected ways. My opinion is it needs more tracking on its rounds, to the point where the leading aspect is removed, and it becomes much easier to aim, and will actually consistently drop targets in 2 bursts at its intended range of 30 to 40 meters. It never took much skill to aim to begin with, and it was always a positioning weapon over an aim skill weapon. It would still be niche, being near useless up close at under 30 meters since the rounds don't track right until longer ranges. But it needs to be consistent when used in the intended range. Currently, it only really works when your enemy doesn't move erratically, which almost never happens with experienced players. A weapon you can't count on to hit will never feel good, and while I loved the concept of the pulse carbine, they never had the balls to make it work as it was clearly intended to. So they just removed it from all the comp maps instead. Probably cause they feared it would compete with the BR or bandit rifle for long-range dominance, which I thought was the entire point of its existence. I know that was probably a longer answer than you were expecting, I'm a plasma weapon fanatic, and I'm still incredibly upset we haven't had a proper blue plasma rifle in the game since Reach.

@@51TD0wN Hey, thanks for the detailed perspective. Yes, I can tell you are a connoisseur of plasma weapons. I am too! I also seem to sense what you do, that Halo has a tendency to let plasma weapons fall to the wayside by tweaking them in infuriatingly weird ways or ultimately rendering them extremely and impractically niche. For instance, I am still bitter over how they handled the Halo 5 storm rifle balancing.
